I really respect the craft culture in Japan. In America we always strive towards having more, without turning inward and assessing the quality of the things we want more of. Listening to this guy talk about 150 years of crafting the exact same utilitarian item is so powerful.
Absolutely gorgeous composition as always. That closing shot was outstanding. Type 7's Japanese content always makes me feel like I'm right back in Tokyo again. I miss it so much.
An incredible video! Though I’m a lover of modern cars, I hold a deep admiration for the timeless beauty of things crafted by hand. The seamless transition from the car to the owner’s way of life was a beautiful metaphor, perfectly capturing the essence of honoring the past while moving forward. The wisdom of carrying only memories and essentials for improvement rings so true. The final image of the tea caddy sliding shut felt like a gentle nod to the passing of one generation, opening the door for the next to continue the journey. A masterpiece from start to finish-pure poetry in motion. 🙇🏻♂
Damn. I have one tea caddy at home, a souvenir from someone from my family that went to Japan long before even I was born, given to my mother, given to me. I even didn't it was a "kaikado", and that it was for tea ! Came here for 911... learned a lot about... well nothing but 911 lol
おーRS。同じの所有しています。ミツワフルオリジナルのルビーストーン。品川34。もう30年。。。。。。Oh, I have owned same model as yours, 1992 RS, in rubby stone red, for more than 30yrs. Registration is Shinagawa "34", two digit, meant "I am a long time keeper", not only money spent, but time also spent with my RS...
If im asian i like a toyota corolla sr 1970s series its durable its low maintenance its classic beauty n does not put a hole in your pocket .toyota or japanes cars tops the world .good n dont needtoomuchrepair to maintain durability
How does Porsche has anything to do with it? I love Japan and now have Family there. As great as this video might be, I find it typical over hyped. Especially since the final product isn’t even shown. I find 46works much better and with substance.
Came for the Porsche, stayed for the tea caddies.

If this is an elaborate ad for a tea cady ... i love it and I'm sold :P
Damn, I came for the 964 and learned about tea caddies 👌🏾

the way they perfected the air gap so it gives the perfect resistance is insane
they perfected what Apple has been trying to do 150 years ago
I don’t even use loose tea, but I need one of these caddys - stunning!
I have one of your pieces, that is made for coffee. Bought it from your dad, in person. Beautiful piece 😊 love the car.

Great video guys. Cool car
Amazing!
Great!❤
Y'all are the best.
It seems like the East is valuing the long term pursuit of excellence in craftsmanship just as we are devaluing it in the West more and more each day

@@lightgatha Much smoke about nothing. Or sometimes less is more. This video is failing by trying too hard.
Incredible!
I have learned something. Thank you. 🫶🏼
かっこいい事言うが、社員さんはやっすい給料なんだろうな。
職人といっても所詮は雇われ、空冷なんて全く縁がないんだろうな。
