@@RCKnockout You're welcome, i did the math and if i put back 125 bucks for 16 months i could have by August next year or i could keep saving until again my 25th birthday as a gift for myself.
Hi Nolan thanks for sharing man. I am doing my Rampage conversion to. I want to get some better wheels, not sure which ones yet though. Motor mount looks great.
5T owner here…been debating on going brushless because I’ve just had enough of trying to get my petrol engines started. Never owned a petrol engines Rc before and in the almost 3 years I’ve owned it, never actually driven it in anger…the few times I have started it, it’s other ppl that have managed to get it going…now just fed up with it, so this vid is really helping me to make my mind up on doing the electric conversion…thing is, I’m from the UK where I fear this may be pricey lol …..did you change your suspension oil at all, as it looks like it’s riding high (compared to other 5Ts that I’ve seen) and yet it seems to ‘belly-flop’ quite hard. Either way, great vid and great run 😎👍🤟
Thanks man! Actually the Top Tuning kit I believe comes from Germany…..it’s pricey though….I still have the stock oil in the shocks….I’m still glad I did the conversion
Awesome Run Nolan I think if your lower arms were plastic that would have fused nicely for you and maybe save you a hinge pin I’m trying to work out what will cost you more at their sizes 😫 not like it’s an 8th scale😒🥲 Nice of you to share
@@RCKnockout thank you for the quick reply never had someone reply to me yet alone that quick Btw your vids are awesome and you are very informative I have a rovan lt360 and looking to convert to electric Hoping the top tuning kit should be fine for me Any idea on where the esc sits Also could i use my mechanical servo brake with this kit? You can find a few companies selling 5t electric part's. I've got part's like these in this video and that guy sold anything u wanted to convert the 5t. Even had motors and esc.
Like the 1/5 scale electric content. I've been watching this kind of stuff lately to motivate myself to get my electric Baja 5B back into service. I managed to get it back on the bench to begin installing some upgrades purchased years ago before taking a break from the hobby! I'm surprised you are running aluminum arms...though I guess you pick your poison, broken arms vs bent pins and mashed inserts. Were you breaking a lot of arms when they were plastic? Yeah, chop that bit off the center diff top plate. It looks nasty and you'll never use it again now that you have that nicer motor mount. I think I would take enough material off to make it a close match to the opposite side...it would just be two small cuts instead of one then you can file it a little to make it look finished. The truck already looks great so that would clean things up nicely.
I built this before I knew what was best for bashing…..so I bought the aluminum arms and always ran it that way…..never actually ran it with the plastic arms…..I should consider switching them over….yeah I might chop that off
Get that thing outside! I just got my Rovan Brushless from 2014 out. Forgot how huge it is. Going with a Max5 on 8s. It came with a 6s esc back when it was new. Let er rip tater chip!
Awesome RC and setup, cool run, have a great weekend brother
Thanks bro! You too!
Awesome run with your brushless LOSI 5T, I plan to start saving up for a 5T 2.0 and maybe have it by my 25th birthday.

@@cjchannel12RC yep! I think this one’s a keeper!
Cool big truck but 1/10th scale my favourite! They small enough not to break fast enough to be fun cool vid

Cool build. At first I was like NO DONT DO IT! But now I'm like I want one so I can rip it in the park where I bash my slash 4x4.
Yeah this was the right way to go with this machine…..I’ve gotten so much more use out of it
It looks like fun. Those 1/5 scale rc look awesome. One day I'll get to a level of control and I'll get one. Right now I'm not ready for it lol.
@@chrisjohnson4733 understandable…..they cost a lot and aren’t the most convenient to haul around either

That’s true it would have broken the arm but it wouldn’t have bent the hinge pin…..overall once the insert is replaced it should be all good though
Hi hope your well
Is there anyway of adjusting the gearmesh if wanting to change pinion or can only one size be used
Thanks
Yeah you can adjust the gear mesh….the whole motor mount moves

1:26 you SHOULD chop that off. You dont want it to break and get in the middle of the spur and pinion u kno...:) Stay safe!
I think that would be highly unlikely to happen but I still might chop it off to make it look a bit cleaner
