Why is it that Americans (or, at least, US Media) do not understand that times in Cross Country races mean NOTHING! Every CC race is different and has different degrees of difficulty.
Oh, runners reach Open Grade at age 20 and there is no such thing as Pro Grade! Everyone competing in Open Grade is eligible for winning prize money and getting sponsorships, if they are good enough.
Yes, KT was a fantastic HIGH School and College level runner and I think she will do well in two or three years as she gets faster and stronger. The real test will come as she competes at the top level in Open Grade. Note: College level for middle/long distance, is NOT top level.
