    Also the Whitten Oval was used by Fitzroy in its final three seasons in the AFL between 1994 and 1996 before merging with Brisbane

    Waverly was my favourite ground. I was so sad when they decided to tear it down. Even back then just getting out of the car park at the G or Princess park could take you 40 minutes, let alone the travel back to the SE suburbs. Waverly was way more accessible and I have fond memories of watching the mighty Power trounce St. Kilda there ;) Even went there once as a single guy and left the ground with a girlfriend :) (long story, but a fun one).

      @@kovaci0000007 I'm pointing out the fact there was specific details about the other grounds like use of exhibition games, scorelines of final score results and use of military training. Yet the video didn't mention a simple fact about how Subiaco oval was many decades a WAFL ground. You shouldn't do a video like my favourite history of Victorian grounds and I have to do something about the WACA and Subiaco oval.

    • @Darksoull.
      @Darksoull. หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@user-vz5cq7ey2c You DO get that the video specifically relates to each ground and its use in ONLY the VFL / AFL? right?? So no there was no history of any grounds used in the WAFL the SANFL or any other state based comp. And the reason the VFL was included is because technically the VFL changed names to become the AFL. It's the same reason Victorians get away with saying Collingwood has the most AFL flags ........ because SANFL doesn't count as "AFL (formerly VFL)" so they can ignore Port Adelaide's flags and feel good about themselves. ;)

    • @user-vz5cq7ey2c
      @user-vz5cq7ey2c หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Darksoull. The video was about stadiums in Australia, the history and where we have come from to the stadiums played on today and primary use of AFL clubs in 2024. The agenda regarding VFL, WAFL and SANFL, shouldn't be subject to relevance on preference or perspective view of opinions about past State leagues prior to the AFL's establishment. If the video can mention Geelong's relocation, because of occupancy by the ADF during WW2, then it can also mention facts about the WACA ground, such as Test cricket home to Dennis Lillie and that until 1997 played all night games. Subiaco oval was where the WAFL played Grand Finals from 1908 to 1986, before the Eagles first season and in 1979 the Grand Final between East Fremantle and South Fremantle saw the game's highest attendance of 52,781.

      @paulfrench7179 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Darksoull. to us 'interstate' people, we don't see the VFL and the AFL as the same thing. Victorians tend to think of the VFL pre 1982 as some kind of national comp, which it wasn't. It was a state comp which had enough gate sales and revenue to poach players from WA,SA and Tas. All of these states have a proud footballing history of their own and glossing over it just feels disrespectful, not just to the states themselves, but to the broader history of the game. Also when we talk about the important indigenous influence on our game, that is a majority WA,SA and NT thing that came out of the state leagues. Failing to acknowledge football history outside of VIC cuts out the majority of indigenous footy history also. Without the WAFL and the SANFL you have no Dreamtime at the G and indigenous round.

    It amazes me that in excess of 3+ billion dollars worth of stadiums Australia wide used once a week rate a story. 3+ billion dollars worth of Hospitals schools, etc used daily don't rate . Stop wasting taxpayers money and use it wisely. ,
