Just a tip or two concerning package access:
When you have a large jar of mask you
need to use in the shower use a spoon
and scoop some out before you get in the shower. I set it down on the edge away from the spray and grab it when I need it.
I never stick my fingers into any pot of products. I have a few small plastic paddles and spoons that I have saved
from sampling gelato that I use to obtain
what I need from pots of products. They can be cleaned and I use alcohol swabs
on them as well. This keeps you from contaminating products and I find I waste
less product as well.

The next time you are in the US go to Target & buy Raw Sugar Lemon body wash & body scrub. . The body wash is 6.99 for 25oz &` the scrub is 12.99. I know you like the Fresh Lemon Sugar this is less expensive & smells lovely. The whole Raw Sugar line is very nice. You're the best. Thanks

Hyaluronic enhances penetration of actives into the skin. As the stuff gets down trough the top layer, it goes obviously trough extracellular fluid. And researchers have seen that HA does help with this process. So having been using retinol stuff, it becomes more potent when skin is boosted with hydration in between cells.
That Emma Hardie cleanser is my holy grail face product ❤️❤️ I love it so much, I use it AM and PM. Thank you Caroline for telling us about it!👍

If you want a good alternative for the Garnier body lotion, the Nivea dark blue bottle body lotion is *amazing* - I have been using this for decades. It says for "very" dry skin, but don't believe it. I have normal to dry skin and it's just enough!

Empties are one of my faves. CeraVe has a really good body lotion, leaves skin feeling silky smooth. Need to have a look for the Hask Cactus Water, haven't seen that one in my local Superdrug.
I so hear you on the packaging that is frustrating. Same with the Percy & Reed shampoo and conditioners - great product - comes out of bottle at about an ounce a minute at best! x
Could you do a video on Differin in your retinol series? also thoughts on Isotrex being discontinued? i know it's harsh but it really noticeably helped with my acne.

In germany u get this body lotion for 2.65 eur at almost every store... Maybe u ask somone to send u some :) shipping is not exectrimely expensive to uk either.

Head and shoulders makes a wonderful co-wash (no surfactants) for textured hair that is very conditioning and smells lovely (almond and coconut). I use it when I wear my hair curly and it's very detangling. It still has the pyrithione zinc for dandruff just no bubbles.

Hello Caroline. If I ever launch a range of beauty products, I would engage you as the Packaging Selection Manager, to ensure the packaging is optimum. I HATE IT when I buy a product (not just skin, any sort of product, including bottled sauces which are frequently IMPOSSIBLE) and the bottle/container fights global warfare with me, just to get at the product!
My neck would light itself on fire if I put rx Retin-A on it! 😂 I’ve found a great alternative is the Jordan Samuel Etoile oil (with Retinol) and the Kate Somerville Dermal Quench with Retinol. I find that my sensitive neck can tolerate these two really well!
I don't know if you'll adress it in your upcoming retinol series, but if you avoid the nasolabial area and your neck, how do you proceed to "treat" them? Do you wash your hands and apply a specific serum/moisturizer on those areas, or do you wait for the retinol to do its thing before going over everything with the rest of your routine?

I've seen people mention Weleda skin food and La Roche Posay cicaplast b5 baume for barrier sort of balms, but I'm sure she'll try to address it!

Ann Otherme the only areas I avoid is around my eyes. Once the tretinoin is dry I apply isclinical pro heal serum and then Cicaplast baume. I’ve tried so many expensive moisturisers and none of them keep the irritation away like that does. I still get the exfoliation benefits but without any redness etc. It’s so cheap, £11 for 100ml. I would start there before buying anything “premium”.

Thank you for sharing :) I've used prescription strength before, but the formula didn't agree with my skin (mineral oils break me out), so I've mostly been using milder products so far (oils, granactive retinoids..). Those don't irritate my skin at all, but since I'm planning to up my game, knowing how to avoid irritation as much as possible is key! Thanks again ^^ @@MeMe-xv2hs

Love the lanolips, when I was on roaccutane it was the only thing that saved me. That and the La Roche Posay cicaplast lipbalm (I think thats the one). Both absorb and soften the skin, rather than just sitting on top like a waxy film. Always always have one in every handbag, coat pocket etc. I like the sound of the Weleda one too, I'll have to try that next!

Why do hair products always have the worst packaging 😂 I used to love Kevin Murphy but the packaging did my head in. Now I use Mr Smith and it’s worst haha. Thick plastic rectangular container that you can’t cut, squeeze or knock out 😂 but the juice is so good I can’t stop using it 😂

@Caroline Hirons ... I ❤ LOVE watching your videos, but can't quite make out the name of the products you discuss (probably because I'm 🇨🇦 EH? 🤣😁). It would be SUPER HELPFUL if you could add the name of the product (and a photo) to the background while you discuss it, and/or zoom in so we can see the name, and have your links in the description box in the same order as the video.
I had to get the lighter Garnier lotion (the mint green bottle) and it's just not as good as the red one. 😫hopefully I find one this weekend!

Put it in your non dominant hand then put the pot over it and then screw the top on. Works for me every time.

I think living proof just doesn’t have great packaging I got the big size shampoo and conditioner after I got some free samples and loved them. The big size was part of a holiday set so it was a good price and I got it during a vib sale, I had to justify it some how. The pumps on them are horrifying it takes five pumps to get out a decent amount of shampoo and ten or more for the conditioner, I love a lot if conditioner. I don’t think I’ll ever buy it again unless they change there packaging. Not to mention the pump doesn’t get all the product out, at this point I’m pulling out the pump and pouring it out. I know, first world problems but that’s an expensive shampoo and conditioner to have such stupid packaging.

I'm just starting to do weekly travel for work, and would like to streamline my skincare. Since you don't suggest the Kate Somerville for younger people, what are some other powerful "combo" serum/moisturizer you'd suggest? (Is it just the other KS ones you mentioned?)
