I think it would be different if the mother isnt too controlling on his son and maybe on her husband when they were still on a good marriage..I can feel that it would be really suffocating to have someone like that towards you... The problem is the mother always wants to know everything around her even about her husband and sons' doings and whereabouts...If she only considered the feelings of them then it will not come to this...good thing though the last scenes made her a little bit kind after that accident...If she only did good on the first hand then all will be alright

I know he is not looking for sympathy, there were many way to test his sons skill then they way he did it. You call him ungrateful when you leave him no room to survive. Nonsense from the old man. I just feel if he did lie to Andy will it affect her trust in him, no only that did he want to be with her for the right reasons.
