I like your analyzes about the John Mayer
Collaboration watches make a brand appear desperate for recognition. Rolex handles this correctly by letting people come up with the goofy nicknames for their watches and not acknowledging it on the case back or dial. I agree that too many new or limited editions cheapens the brand.

I don’t like they keep doing these limited edition pieces. It is taking the class away from the brand. They don’t want to turn into Hublot. They should have just made it piece unique
38-39mm is the best and most elegant option for wrist size, even 36mm on some models due to bracelet looks great.

A long time follower to the channel and I can tell you have changed a lot from AP which I remember was your favorite brand but now i see that Rolex and to a lesser extent Patek are your favorites.

I only have an AP royal oak offshore and after couple of years, i just knew that AP caliber was not fantastic if compared to PP or VC (on the same category), even if i move down to lower level category in terms of pricing, the caliber reliability also cannot come near to my rolex and grand seiko. But if you have lots of monies and can just change watch like you upgrade your phone, then go buy AP, else take my advice, simply go for an entry level rolex or gs is good enough for day to day, if staying in not so safe environment, gs will be better because wearing rolex may get rob......lol

I couldn’t agree more Eric! AP. Is totally milking the Royal Oak line lol. They are very pretty though. And I still can’t get over the “limited” editions as they ALL are limited nowadays lol. And I would NEVER buy a John Mayer edition watch lol. 😂
The John Mayer dial is cool, but all in all I'm not a fan of AP. Definitely go with Patek and then Rolex over AP any day.

I don’t know if they’re great they’re pretty ugly to me. I wouldn’t spend my money on a AP if they were cheap as hell I don’t understand the phenomenon about AP. I mean, there’s only one watch which is the Royal Oak. That’s really worth anything. The rest are big waste of money.
