The participants of the World Championship were selected in Kunduz

The city of Kunduz, Afghanistan, gathered the best athletes of the country.
About 10 regions and more than 100 athletes compete on the gilam for the national championship and a ticket to the World Championship in Turkmenistan.
In recent years, the Afghanistan Kurash Federation has been organizing kurash competitions, refereeing, and coaching seminars on a regular basis around the country.
And the result is not long in coming. The number of talented athletes is increasing year by year. Afghan athletes take part in international competitions and have achieved success.
