Played our second game, will be live on yt in a week or too, agree the British are v powerful but will the French win the second game?? Thx for viewing.
A congested center of terrain made movement abit of a nightmare for you mate. First battle i've seen using Black Powder's rules, and i enjoyed it more than i thought i would considering the era it's set in. And i'm looking forward to more in the future. Also a good joke, kinda surprised by that :P Thanks for the vid, Graham.
I can't decide whether I would want to get 28mm or the epic scale 13.5mm miniatures. I was thinking epic scales, because I can have a massive army for the same price. But I was thinking 28mm because they look better I reckon.
@@creedencecookson2516 interesting dilemma. I really like 28mm, the mini’s are large enough to make them in dual. Epic scale it does happen, however, Epic is a lot cheaper ( well i prefer lead min;s) they also alllow you to play battles at a division level, which unis of 16 in 28s donot look quite as effective.
@grahamswargamevault2635 I think I might go with Epic Scale, because I can paint small things pretty okay, and I still think the 13.5mm ones look great. And I love having a massive army.
Realizing you're new/rusty at it, but I don't think I'd like BP compared to the other 'Rampant type games you all play. Seems too fiddly for the bang, even if you're fluent in the rules, but I'd watch a couple of good friends fighting over a battlefield with little miniature men all day, everyday.
@@risusrules yep indeed, it is a fun game to play, from my pov using all my Sharp Practice minis to play something bigger for me was very rewarding and does look great. We are improving with the rules, second game played last Tuesday was better. I know what you mean about rules, I like saga but that takes deeeep thought. Thx for viewing.
You are very rusty. Closing fire happens after the charger has moved into contact. Artillery get a free move when limbered. The general gives a reroll to one of his brigade commanders within 12 inches . ....
@@garrywillswargamerauthor excellent feedback, this what i was after. Firstly rusty (?) i would say ignorant. The rules, still learning, the second game is much better. The general reroll rule is have seen others use it but couldn’t find in the rule book. Thank you for viewing and commenting. Hopefully, even with the errors, you enjoyed it as much as we did..
Thanks a good game, the French need to soften up the British with artillery before going in - the British are very tough. Good luck next time.

@@PMMagro yep, love using them.
Mixed formation and skirmish are two different formations
Yep think we sussed that post game. 2nd game is improving
