Volleyball was conceived as a less strenuous alternative to basketball. The sport became popular very quickly and made its Olympic debut in 1964.

I have to admit that she is the top player in the world. But, I like more Korean team in between 90’s and early 2000’s. They played very smart and fast. Yup, volleyball is all about tall and power, but I really admire them.
@@nosut7996 My country Brazil has won 5 Olympic Medals Women Volleybaal since Atlanta 1996 until Tokyo 2020, 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze, South Korea has won just one Bronze Medal in Montreal 76 in Volleybaal at the Olympic Games. Thats sad
@@danilotavares6105 I am not from Korea so I have no idea how many medals they have achieved so far, and yeah they were extremely short. It was impossible for them to win (I guess European, Latin, African teams must win)
However, they had everything except heights and power.
@@nosut7996 My country Brazil has won 4 medals in Women FIVB Worldchampionship, 3 Silver, 1 Bronze, since 1994 until 2018, South Korea has won just 2 Bronze Medals in Women FIVB Worldchampionship. Thats sad
@@danilotavares6105 yup but, the korean team were playing better, smarter , more skillful comparing other countries, and they could not win because volleyball is all about height.
KYK is just on another level of her own. She's a threat both on offense & defense. Even though she's getting old now and not on her prime anymore, she can still slay inside the court with her own antics & leadership. Forever my MVP!
Interesting fact.. Kim Yeonkoung, #10 of South Korea, had a teared meniscus and had serious knee injuries that she got from a previous game against Brazil. She still played because she wanted to help her team win.
u should agree with me that Kim Yoen Koung is one of the best spikers in the world ever if not the best.

Back here in 2021 and Kim has now retired but will always be remembered as an amazing volleyball player she was reliable and you could always count on her she's an inspiration to those willing to try out this sport

This is my favorite match of Korea from this Olympics. Kim Yeon Koung is amazing as always but the combination plays, blocks and digs with the rest of the team was really cool and threw off the Italian team from that last 2 sets.

Prata Peru e Bronze China. O Peru chegou a ter três Match Points para fechar a partida e ganhar o Ouro Olímpico, mas deixou a Rússia virar

This is the first olympics stage of Kim Heejin, when she was the youngest among the team and shes already one of the main players of the team,now she will be the one to lead the national team of Korea, as the team captain Kim Yeongkoung retired already from the national team.. you can do well Kim Heejin in leading the national team.

이 경기가 얼마나 대단한 성과냐면 상대 이탈리아는 2011년 세계 배구월드컵 우승팀 자격으로 올림픽에 나온팀이었다. 한국이 B조에서 예상외의 선전으로 3위를 차지해 8강에 올랐지만 누가봐도 이건 이탈리아가 이길것 같았겠지. 하지만 한국은 김연경을 중심으로 뭉쳐 이겼다. 이 승리로 한국은 76년 몬트리올 올림픽 이후 무려 36년만의 4강진출을 달성하게되지

숙자세터 교체투입이 신의한수 였지 이때 ㅠ 동메달 땄어야 했는데 천추의 한이다 ㅠㅠ 선수들도 글켔지만 국민들도 ㅠㅠㅋ 근데 양뽕은 저때의 속공이 어째 더 파워풀하고 잘하냐 지금은 경험이 쌓여 코트 여러군데 넣는걸 잘하지만 저때처럼 시원하게 내리꽂는 속공 다시 보고싶네

정말 이때 우리 여배 얼마나 잘 했냐 하면 브라질이 금메달 땄는데 브라질이 유일한 1패가 예선에서 한국에 패한 경기임

아니에요 브라질은 조별리그에서 부진한 편이었는데 2승3패로 한국이랑 동률이었지만 승점에서 밀려서 조 4위로 토너먼트 턱걸이 했지만 토너먼트 들어서는 각성했는지 8강 4강 결승 모두 잡고 우승해버렸죠

You know, i really don't like volleyball, yet i watched the full thing...
What is sad though is the current controversy surrounding her former team. Kim doesn’t deserve to go through something like this. She is one amazing athlete and she put Korean volleyball back on the map. Obviously, her old team wants MORE MONEY knowing that she is the highest paid female volleyball athlete in the world right now. Her contract with Fenerbahce is reportedly worth over $ 1,000,000 dollars. She is worth every penny and I know of some US Pro teams which would love to have her.

이때가 한송이의 인생경기대회였음, 요새는 민첩한게 사라졌음, 게다가 포지션도 센터로 바꿔서 별루임. 확실히 세터분들이 요새세터랑 비교하면 넘사벽 수준인듯. 이숙자 정말 잘하네요. 김사니선수도 브라질전에 정말 예술이던데. 갓연경은 뭐 언제나 갓연경이죠, 이때 확실히 더 민첩하네요. 양효진이랑 정대영, 거기다가 황연주도 정말 잘해주었음~
세터 가장큰 차이가 안정성인듯 똥볼올라와도 김연경 잘때릴만큼 올리는 능력이있어요. 김사니 이숙자둘다.. 물론 운영능력도 우월.. 이다영이 이선배들 80퍼까지만 올라와주길

요번 올림픽 예선을 보고 추억을 되살리며 런던올림픽 경기들을 보았는데, 세터차이가 너무나도 크다. 김사니, 이숙자 정말 요새 세터들과는 수준이 다른거 같다. 이숙자는 은퇴했고 김사니는 나이가 너무 많은건가? 리그에서 세터순위 1위던데 왜 김사니를 국대로 선택하지 않은거지? 이효희는 너무 작고 세팅도 김사니에 비해서는 별루던데. 참 이해하기 힘들다. 이때 한송희는 정말 잘했네, 민첩하고. 지금은 양효진과 김희진이 잘하니까 괜찬지만 세터문제가 더 크다.
