This video was so informative! Thank you 😊 could you possibly do a video on what different positions would fall under each band? You had mentioned a few like junior sister and ward manager. But if u could do a detailed video of the different roles under each and what qualifications you would need like if u have to go back for a masters and such. Would be very much appreciated. New subbie!
So in order to move up eaxh band, its imperative to get the accompanying amount experience in thw previous band? 😭 to get to the highest band you'd have to be a higly specialised nurse of FORTY YEARS Isn't there a way to skip bands or sub-bands when you're already very experienced in the field?
You can move up a band without getting to the top of your current band. e.g you can apply for a band 7 role after being a band 6 for a year. It all depends on experince and capability as well.
Hai delain. This is marydillon from india. I have 7 years of operating room experience.. Am planning to uk. Which type of exam I have to write and which band I will get... Could you pls share me the details. As I don't have any idea of uk processing
You will need to be an expert in your field with specialist skills. I did a video on career progression which you might find helpful. th-cam.com/video/13y30UZqLMg/w-d-xo.html

How does the banding consider Bnsc and specialty nurses
Does RMN earn better than a band 5 nurse
Is it mandatory to start at band 5? Can one start at band 7??
Yes, you have to start at band 5 if you are newly qualified nurse
Ok ok thanks.
