Personally I own the Sony's XM3 and I agree with Marc's remarks, great all around design, Great sound, well balanced, a bit leaning towards bassy but Bass is my thing. the Sony app is the best in the business so far and it complements the usage of the headphones. I'm Eagerly waiting for the XM4
Their reviews are killer. I really hope the XM4’s are more comfortable than the XM3’s. The XM3’s ear cups are just not deep enough, and was the only reason I have kept my QC35’s.
I believe the mic testing kit need to be reviewed as there are mixed results for lot of headphones especially wh 1000xm3 where mic is rated above bose qc 35ii but in real use case it's far worse similarly is the case of pixel buds 2020 which has superb mic but are rated lower than other earbuds.
Can you help me ? i work on ships as an mechanical engineer and there are a lot of loud mechanical sound in the engine room. Which one i should buy ? Noise cancellation is the most important thing for me. i couldnt buy xm3. Jabra elite 85 or Sony 900n anker q20 or taotronics 46. most important thing to me noise cancellation
Just got the MPOW h10. Really like everything. What I will say though is even with ANC on I still hear speech from my mother and from the tv without music playing to drown it out. Not sure if that's normal/intended.

I cannot find any reviews whatsoever comparing those two models to the modern counterparts of which I wanted to replace them with. There was also a set of infrared Panasonic television headphones with a docking tower I had as a child, but the model number eludes me. I also wonder if you have experienced reviewing Bluetooth ear protection like Safety Sounds or Work Tunes?
Why doesn’t this include Bang & Olufsen H9/H9i? They are generally considered as one of the most premium in terms of sound quality with a good ANC and a luxuriously brilliant built quality! And the new Gen 3 versions also include Google Assistant, Siri and Alexa support

B&O H9i (didnt try H9 3rd gen yet) and Sennheiser Momentum 3 sound WAY better. Both have different sound signature, so try yourself what suits you better. If you have decent wired headphones >50$ you will be disappointed with Bose or Sony.
The Sony WI-1000X do have an auto-off feature for better battery life, that can be enabled through the app. Giving the WF-1000XM3 only a decent in sound quality, but the Bose a good? It is always a matter of taste, but most comparisons I saw rate the Sony higher than the Bose. Personally I always find any Bose I tried so far sounding a bit artificial, but I haven't tried the new ones.

The Sennheiser PXC 550 Wireless have considerably dropped in price since launch and are a little better than the HD 4.50 overall. The HD 4.50 are still good mixed usage headphones though.

PSB M4U 8 are a very good sounding BT ANC Headphone. An they are Canadian, give them a try. Lack a bit in portability, folding is limited.

I have the sennheiser pxc550 and love the sound although the anc isn’t as good as Bose. They’ve been replaced by the pxc550ii
