Hah hah. He was playing the special R&D demo model. The real ones they ship are just empty metal cases. Nah, just kidding. Seriously, they sound pretty nice.
John Lennon Fanatic hi there, thanks for asking. Have been playing it pretty much constantly for about 6 weeks and am loving every second of it. I’d say there are about a dozen go-to piano, EP, piano/pad (organs are just ok) sounds that are fitting in great with the worship band I’ve led at church for about 15 yrs. The different pianos all have very distinct tones and I think there’s something for every taste. Love the feel and action, no complaints so far. Highly recommended
Mr Tony the way you made this review is impressive : musically interesting on choising presets , and the speak limited to essential, thought your own impressions are present. Great 👍 👏 !!
Hi Tony, great demonstration of the grandstage! I also have one, it's a great instrument. I like it very, very much. Is it possible, to get the registrations you made for this demo? Or a list of the used sounds? I thought, I know the grandstage, but some of your combinations sounds so good... Thx a lot in advance and best regards from germany!
Hey, how would this compare to Korg SV-1? I'm using the SV-1 at the moment, but considering getting the Grandstage. I hear improved piano sounds especially. Also, What about keyboard feel?
Just a bit surprised at how more space isn't devoted to some great organ sounds which I think it has. Some balls-y B3-ish sounds were always something most keyboard players always coveted. Maybe I'm just old. :-)
Excellent demo as always, re Dynamic knob. I have one on my Korg SG1D which is still working well after 30 years. Finally some of the notes are starting to stick and sending in for repair but a testament to the quality of Korg gear. Would add though that I use my very old Roland MKS 20 piano modules as much preferred the sound but the Grandstand sounds good - infact better than the Kronos pianos or is that just me?
Bonners Music Superstore thanks what's your personal choice out of those 4 :) thanks! I looked at the Yamaha p45 due to significant price difference too
Hi! How you compare the action with other plastic keys digital pianos? the KORG RH3 with the PHA4 standar from ROland or Casio Ap470 action or Kawai RH3? Im looking from Korg the LP380 with the RH3 action but there is no much review of KORG digital pianos. Thanks
hi! This Korg has RH3 which is the same action of my 1988 Technics piano, (I played it for over 25 years). It's brilliant and very pleasing to my hands! (Just bought my Grand Stage X last week)
I have played many stage digital pianos through the years and when it comes to pure sound and instrumentation performance along with the responsive key action, it just doesn't get better than this new Grandstage and actually most of the competition doesn't come close in my opinion. Sehr schönes Video!!! Es gilt zu bedenken: die Tastatur ist in Neigung verbaut. Das gibt es bei akustischen Klavier auch. Auf der Bühne ist das eine Sache der Gewöhnung.
Dam,😢 i like this to also Korg V1. But i cant bau it, , because my fingers can make it, playing at this hevy tangent. Only semi or very light tangent. Min 76stk Sory for bad enlich. 👍🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰
This guy is the best keyboard reviewer on youtube! Always to the point ☝️
Thank you!
Too bad I don’t live in the UK, this man just sold me one.
sound still fantastic after 5 years.
absolutely love that this just starts out with a demo of the piano!
Impressive seamless transition.
Ordered one sight unseen off of this demo! Can’t wait to play it. Thanks for showing it off so brilliantly. Cheers!

Whats your opinion of the Korg Grandstage.

Your demos are always great thanks
+Nana-K Adu Thank you, much appreciated
Excellent review indeed. You are the king of piano reviews for sure.

My ears perked up even more at the 14:20 mark with War of the Worlds (Jeff Wayne's version) full orchestral sound!

I wish I knew the name of the fantastic electric guitar sound at 5:30"! So amazing. I hope it's found in the Grand Stage X!
sold, wrap it up, well done mate!
Excellent review
Hi, would you consider making a comparison video of Korg Grandstage vs. Roland RD-2000? That would be superb.
comparision is very simple: KORG better sound ROLAND better controller ...XD
Love it! 🙂❤
I’m trying to create favourites but I’m struggling to follow instructions, are you able to help please?
Excellent demo.
superb
Tony, what's the name of the song you start playing at 0:45? It seems like some worship piece.
This cover at 07:00 min. of "In the air" is amazing ! Great instrument and magic hands ! Thank you !
Thank you!
Why has the Korg Grandstage 88 been discontinued ?? Was seriously looking to buy one.
Yep, had to buy something else.
I reviewed a bunch of videos, but only your "hands" sounds. Objectively and to the point!

Also, What about keyboard feel?
It's an improved feel from the SV-1 despite both being RH3. Of course the piano sounds are derived from the Kronos.
Is it possible to adjust the attack and release time for the sounds, specially for the pad sounds ?
Just a bit surprised at how more space isn't devoted to some great organ sounds which I think it has. Some balls-y B3-ish sounds were always something most keyboard players always coveted. Maybe I'm just old. :-)
Agreed... I would love to hear the different organ patches and effects and leslie sounds it has.......

Looking for a 88 key digital piano. Any new competition to the Roland Fp30 or Yamaha P115 for a digital piano around £500? Thanks
Try the Kawai ES110 or Casio PX160 - both around £500
Bonners Music Superstore thanks what's your personal choice out of those 4 :) thanks! I looked at the Yamaha p45 due to significant price difference too
I'm thinking of getting Yamaha P255. If you've already bought one, what did you get?

Tim Praskins your review is excellent and very much appreciated. 🙏🏾
Who’s paying you ? Because Kawai is way better
@@obriantomlinson2776which kawai?
Is this still a relevant keyboard in your opinion?
How many sounds can you layer at once Tony, and is this easy to do?
Great Vid! What is the stand you are using? It fits the Grandstage good.
Who knew Mark King also plays piano!
whats the total amount of sounds you can have layered?
Do both 73 and 88 key have weighted keys?
Song on minute 9? Anybody ? Thanks for the review, going to try this piano later today.

Dear... what soundsystem is iT hooked up to??
Anybody else think Tony looks like he could be Mark Kings brother?
