    Thank you for ALL the work you do. It is HARD to find good paras and especially ones who's willing to do the work for each child to be successful. Honestly, I don't call my "assistant" or "para" those terms..... I simply tell people that Tina and I co-teach bc that is what we do. Your line of work is MUCH needed and appreciated. :)

      Thank you so much for that! I appreciate it. Paras who are passionate about their job work so hard. And you’re right. It is co-teaching. Thank you again for the sweet comment. And thanks for watching 💕

    OoOo a behind the scenes of your career. I saw your wing video talking about your paraprofessional. I'm glad you filmed and posted this video. I was always a fan of a decorated classroom. It really makes a difference on how your classroom is set up because it helps expand the mind. Classrooms that are colorful, filled with artwork goes a long way. Your shelf with the bins are so organized. Even your labels are insane. Anyone can create a label, but not everyone is like you with your designs and photos that come with the label. I love it! Keep your channel going. I've been enjoying your videos. Glad you landed on my recommended.

      I’m just now seeing this. So happy you’re enjoying my videos. I agree a nice classroom that is practical for both the teacher and students makes all the difference. I can’t take credit for the labels. I didn’t make them, but I agree they’re nice. Thanks so much for the sweet comment!

    I love the video! This is exactly what I was looking for. I’m trying to get a job as para/ta for a school district. I’ve worked as a ta and lead for daycare positions, but want something a little bit different. Thanks for the video!

    Hello. I just got hired as a para and I do not know what to expect as far as how and when to do a task. I do know I working with a special child who has an IEP. Is there someone designated to tell me when to do my IEP list or??? I have no clue how it will all go down

    • @_lovelykristen
      @_lovelykristen  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello. Congrats 💕💕 You shouldn’t have to do anything except follow the IEP as far as accommodations in the classroom that the child receives. The case manager/special education teacher writes and updates IEP. Speak to that person if you have questions about anything. Good luck!

    I loved your video!!! What is a one on one paraprofessional? What do you do? What paperwork do they give you as it pertains to the student?

    • @_lovelykristen
      @_lovelykristen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!! I have another paraprofessional vlog about my experience as a one-on-one special education para. It’s basically a para assigned to one student who receives special education services as opposed to what I do now. I’m still a special education para only now I work with multiple students. Specifically, I work with 4th grade students who receive special education services.

      I added a bit more to my response. Hope that answers your question. Also, there’s no paperwork really involved outside of being able to view their IEPs, which is their Individualized Education Plan that explains their accommodations and services.

    My first day tomorrow, I will be subbing as paraprofessional in elementary school in our district. Any tip you wanna share. Thank you.

      Hi!! That’s so awesome. Congratulations. I will be posting a video soon sharing tips, but for now, I will just say go in ready to work and be of assistance in any way you can. Teachers and students need a lot of support with the current state of education. Also, make sure you communicate and ask questions if you’re unsure about something.

    How much do they pay for this position?

    • @_lovelykristen
      @_lovelykristen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Doesn’t pay much. In my district, I made less than $15 an hour for my particular position, but para pay is dependent upon the position and where you work.
