- Für ihre Weltmusik-Alben wurde Angélique Kidjo schon mit mehreren Grammys und zahlreichen illustren Preisen geehrt. Klänge aus ihrer Heimat Benin, Afro-Pop, R'n'B, Jazz, aber auch lateinamerikanische und afrokaribische Einflüsse gehen in der Musik der stimmgewaltigen Diva eine unverwechselbare, energetisierende Symbiose ein. Im Konzerthaus Dortmund traf die Ausnahmekünstlerin und UNICEF-Botschafterin am 22. Juni 2022 erstmals auf die Neue Philharmonie Westfalen und verpackte ihr musikalisches Spektrum vom Jazz bis zu lateinamerikanischen Beats in große, bewegende Sounds. Hier nun ihre ergreifende Interpretation von "Malaika".

Musician of yersterday was better than today's musician coz their music last for a long time so what's wrong with tòdays musician they have everthing
People who live during times of troubles tend to write more beautiful songs.
A horrible over-egged version of a beautiful tune. Its beauty lies in its simplicity. Kidjo or Makeba with minimal backing make it magical.
Just because you get the point doesn't mean you're right. Makeba and kijo were friends until Makeba passed. The roots of this song by close friends must continue. Anantla ✊🏽.
