After watching this, i added a front fender extender. It began to melt after a few months. Before i fitted a replacement, i put several layers of heat resistant bbq paint on it. So far so good 😊
Great - thanks for all the points, clear and honest. I’m about to jump in to this world and the 701 is what floats my boat. My only issue is seat height but I also ride a 21 V4s Multistrada and that’s sort of tallish! Thanks again Gary
TET trails 👍🏻 Super useful video ! thanks … ( I have a 2023 CRF 450RX and a R1300GS .. as you can see there is quite a gap between them !) I need a bike I can ride 50km tarmac and then 50km trails , followed by 50km home again !) hoping to order a 701 , or KTM 690 today
very informative as usual, your point about the off road riding ability was spot on, apart from a few gravel tracks I wouldn't dare take my hulking gs adventure off road!! Thanks for the video, look forward to the next one, happy new year
Great to hear that you will visit Sweden! 👍🏻 Hope you like to ride easy gravelroads, we have loads of it! To the RadeGarage extra tank and airfilter, do not buy it if you not like to do a tuning of the bike. So many had problem with a jerkey bike after the switch. I think it has do with its filter size, but im not sure. Read about it!
Thanks for watching. I plan to have the bike tuned on a dyno after fitting the Rade tank to sort out any fueling issues. I'm looking forward to seeing Sweden, I've never been.
I have the same bike, it’s replacing my BMW 1200GS. I have over 100,000 miles on the GS but it’s time for a lighter ADV bike as I’m 75 now. I’m lowering the bike another 2” plus adding a rally tower from Rade Garage, Aurora or Britannia, I haven’t decided. I have the Rade Garage tank and can make it 248 miles to empty.
Its a great bike, I got mine in 2019 and have best. Best is the engine and the range, can do 220-240km on mine before gas refil What I dont like so much is the heat (very hot) from the muffler and the handguards as stock.
Thanks for watching. I bought the filler cap from ebay in the UK. It came from a seller called 'Happy2brother' and the title of the item was 'Motorcycle Fuel Filler Neck Cap Cover For Husqvarna 701 Enduro/Supermoto 2016-24'. Hopefully you can find it :)
Hello, i placed an order today for the fairing support @ AS and asked about the availability for the luggage rack. They answered that it's already deliverable for Europe, so won't be long for you also i would think .
Thanks for watching. Yes, I saw that the luggage racks were available. I haven't yet decided whether to invest in them or not but they do look very smart.
Hi. Would you mind sending me a link for the Optimate power lead and adaptor for your heated waistcoat. Did you wire the lead directly to your battery? Thanks, Steve :-)
Thanks for watching. Yes, the Optimate lead is wired directly to the battery and here is the link for the lead which goes to my Gerbing heated waistcoat. www.thevisorshop.com/en/gb/Gerbing-Optimate-67F-SAE-to-25mm-DC-Lead/m-22806.aspx?PartnerID=21&UnitedKingdom&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsqjqlYrEgwMV7ZBQBh3z9wJdEAQYASABEgKuC_D_BwE
Thanks 👍🏼.. have you got the link for the main Optimate lead to the battery, and the Optimate charger you use? Did you upgrade to a lithium battery? Steve @@stranobikes
@stevia13 if you Google Optimate charger you should find what you need. The Optimate charger comes with a few options to power it including a lead to go onto the battery. I haven't changed the battery to a lithium one.
at 165 Pounds for that seat gel kit, given all the work you put in modifying your seat, seems like you may have been better off buying the Seat Concepts seat.
Thanks for watching. You may be right. I've just had the seat re-sculptured locally so I'll be interested to see how my backside copes with it. The chap who's done the work has reworked hundreds of seats and his comment regarding the gel was that it works well if you have 2 inches of foam underneath, the Husky seat, of course, doesn't.
@@stranobikes So I have been doing a great deal of looking and comparing of bikes and plan on getting the 701 for the exact same reasons you got yours; adv capability but light enough for trails and to pick up when dropped. The seat seems to be the biggest problem I would like to solve (and I would like it to be comfortable in the back also for my wife to sit on time to time). One thought I had was if there is a way to have a super plush comfy add-on seat that could essentially be fitted on top of the stock seat for highway cruising (attached with some clips or something) but could be popped off and stashed in the top box if you wanna hit some trails. Like a convertible. The other thought was to lust have a place customize the original seat with new, shaped foam, and leather etc (not cheap obviously).
@@evelcustom9864 Thanks for watching. My wife and I use a GS1200 Rallye Sport for our two-up touring and my wife (who is slim and doesn't have a fat @rse) sits on an air cushion, which she finds pretty comfortable. If you Goggle 'Motorcycle air cushion seat' you'll find something similar. I think two-up on the 701 is.......ambitious! I've just had my 701 seat re-shaped and I'll be showing it on the channel soon, it is to be determined whether it makes any difference.
I have a 2021 Husky 701 enduro. I bought a complete Seat Concepts XL seat for mine from Rocky Mountain ATV. The XL is actually extra wide (not sure why it isn’t called XW), but not any taller than the stock seat. It is much better than stock, but not cushy by any means.
More like Temu ripped off the design, down to the serial number. This is not uncommon in China. The reflectors in headlights are designed for the bulb they use. So yes, you can change the bulb, and have a brighter light but don't expect the light pattern to be as good.

Yes, it certainly extends the riding season.

Thanks for watching. The stock muffler gets very hot due to to the catalytic converter, changing the end can sorts this out.

what do they ‘ indicate’?
Direction
Then call them “ Directionals”😂🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks for watching. They're called indicators because they indicate which way you intend to turn. But maybe that's just me :)
