I think that the chorus of the version that we all know is more catchy than the original one and that this is why Jyp asked him to change it, but it was still good (and maybe I prefer the original one) so why changing it? It feels like Jyp controls his talent a bit too much and doesn't let him express it freely or maybe it's just my impression. (Sorry for my english)
The two versions have two different tone & feel just for that change. JYP has more experience & I can see why he does it. It's all like this in creative work, mentorship and all. I don't feel like he's sabotaging JB's talent, or controlling his talent too much, he's better than most Ik in the industry. He's giving a different view & opinion, from his experience. The released version ain't too different in the verses. Personally though, this has a more Jaebum's laid down feel to it but I am REALLY glad it changed into the album version. That powerful part just hits home, made the song more memorable, took it to a whole new level of emotion. It was a perfect high for me, for the starting lyrics, with that bold rap and all. That part makes the song for me.
Maliha Mahjabin but jyp always has to put his two cents in for some reason. JB is not going to learn on his own if jyp interferes all the time. Kpop companies in general need to tell idols to write there own music. I understand if it’s a couple of songs they didn’t write but for all of your songs to written by someone else is a no no for me.
Maybe we could get this as a side track on the next album or single......or they could just make a "b" sides album. I'd buy it. These guys are hella talented writers, composers, and producers.
