- There is NO WAY the King of Games had the ability to draw NEW cards from his already established hand... Right??
Throughout the many Yu-Gi-Oh shows and episodes, there are plenty of animation errors that have occurred. This series hopes to capture and highlight as many as possible. I hope you enjoy!

I always thought Yugi already drew his card off screen and then played the card He "drew from his hand"
I did too, doesn't he have 6 cards in his hand anyway?

Plot twist: Yugi just pulled a card from his sleeve, and he drew from the hand to throw Bakura off while still having the right number of cards in hand.

the best part is that they intentionally showed that yugi had an extra card in hand and when he drew it, he had one less card visibly shown, so it makes me think that it was somewhat intentional on their part lol
One of the few times Yugi almost got caught cheating.
But luckily his opponent was to busy being arrogant to notice.
Atem: draw, a true king doesn't need draws
Likely them, reusing an animation of Atem playing a card to save on budget
i don’t think it’s an error in animation, but in editing. The animators animated him grabbing a card from his hand, something that would be used a lot in the show, the editors are the ones that put that animation where that line is. You know how long it would take to animate everything in sequence?
It’s also possible Yugi just already drew and play is now playing a card from his hand when we pan back to him
Based on the next shot, he's looking at the card and reacting to it. As in just pulled. So I don't think it's him playing a card, he looks at it to much like it's new.

Such a moment. When Yugi drew a card from his hand and said "Its drawin' time!" I nearly shed a tear. Truly of the most anime moments of all time.

I just watched this episode again last week and I totally missed this 😂
This animation error is also presented in the Battle City Finals, Yugi vs Marik, with Marik during one of his turns to just seen drawing from his hand. This error seems to occur a lot throughout the series since it may be easier to animate it without showing the draw from the deck, but one of the ones I l’ve noticed.

He already snuck the card he wanted into his hand. And if he runs out of cards he can just sneak a few more cards.

It was supposed to be the animation of him using the card from his hand, but accidents happen spectacularly.

When you submit a joke but the editing team didn't understand:
They probably needed him to have a certain amount of cards in his hand in order to make the later slifer summon more interesting

This isn't in Yu-Gi-Oh but it's another animation error that I found absolutely hilarious. If anyone here has watched the original Transformers TV show I can't remember which episode it was, but there's an episode where I believe it's the Washington DC episode now that I think about it cuz that's something I kind of remember. Anyways, they're having their whole Autobots Decepticons battle, and at some point one of The monuments gets destroyed and starts tipping over. Optimus Prime starts running towards it to catch it so that way it doesn't cause damage or get destroyed. And in the scene where he initially runs towards the monument there's two Optimus Prime but in the next scene the one Optimus Prime turns back into the one dinobot which I can't remember his name. And I found it hilarious

I just noticed that GX does the exact same thing in the Duelling Monkey episode with Jaden.
looks like they needed to do a drawing motion, and reused an animation from a regular part during the draw phase thinking no one would notice on TV. but the Internet exists
It’s not an animator’s mistake. Yugi cuts open his hand and puts his deck inside of it.
He even has i draw a card from my hand

I’d like to think that the few animation cels for that moment weren’t completed in time or were damaged prior to editing, so they had to use cels of him taking a card from his hand and use those, and hoped that the moment would be too quick for people to notice.
Another animation mistake: During 5D's, as Yusei is leaving the main duel stadium and going indoors, his cheek opens up as if it's his lips when he's talking. I forget which episode it is, but I paused it and showed it to my friends, we had a good laugh.

It was probably a clip of him picking a spell card to play or something and they just added in the word "draw" over it

I seen one aswell the other day, when yugi battles one of the rare hunters (Mime Hunter I Think) in battle city.
He summons "gazelle the king of mythical beasts" with 1200 Def shown on the card but when it pops up on the animation it says it has 2100 defense.
just watched through 5ds 1st season and on carly s duelrunner (which is red like yuseis) they wanted to show a facedown spell or trap and they obviously didn t want to draw a new model so they took a glimpse of yuseis and i wouldn t have got it but it had junk synchron as the remaining monster
