AMTRAK Auto Train facilities at Sanford, FL, CSXT, Orlando Station, Strates Midway train, 2/28/89

Forget Disney, lets go watch trains! AMTRAK was more than thrilled we were interested in their operation rather than the mouse - they gave us passes and hard hats to walk around. This is the southern terminus of the Auto Train that runs between Lorton, Virginia and Sanford, FL - lots to see here, RS3 rebuilds, P30CH's, shop facilities and wash rack (9:39). CSXT action throughout, Orlando Station (13:18), the Strates Midway train (15:32) parked at its home facilities (no-one was around to ask for a tour), and some switchers and action at Lakeland (16:33).
