  • I made this video for a few indie author friends on a shoestring budget who wanted to learn how to format their own ebooks with Microsoft Word and Draft2Digital. If you're struggling with formatting your self-published book, or if you're a PA/VA learning the ropes for an author client, maybe this will help you, too.
Part 2 covers print formatting for KDP and IngramSpark and can be found here: • Part 2 | Print Formatt...

This was incredible. More self-publishing authors need to find this video. It's the easiest, most in-depth walkthrough I've found online. Thank you a thousand times.

I'm so glad you found it helpful! I've actually learned a few new tricks for the D2D formatter (like how to keep a line break without having to add a period, woot!) since making this video and really need to update it soon. Maybe I'll carve out some time to do that later this month. : )

Thank you for that very detailed explanation. It really helped in overcoming those little things that can mess up your formatting. I'm sure over time this video will be the 'send-to' for anyone who needs help in this area.

Thanks! I'm glad you found it helpful. : ) I really do need to film this again and try to shorten it, though there are a few extra tips I forgot to mention, too.

Amazing job. Thanku soo much. I have a little question. Im having images to insert in the book. I want one image on one page, is it possible in ebook to manage that? Like in paperback i printed it this way

I don't include many images in my books, but you should be able to use page breaks the same way with images as you do with text. Try turning on the page marks (backwards P) in the paragraph menu under the home tab. That should give you a better view of where your breaks are. The insert a page break before and another one after your image.
