I know right? A character completely loses all relatability if everyone they know is also a superhero. There is nothing to ground them to reality anymore and it's a sign the media has become more about the superpowers than about the characters.
1. The saddest part is that, if rumors are to be believed, Carnage was supposed to be one of the main antagonists of a theoretical season 3. Eddie being commited to an asylum, where Cletus could have *easily* also been incarcerated just adds credence to it 2. The scene at 6:47 is *fascinating* when you look at it with the power of hindsight for the entirety of the show. That long pause and the simple "No." really makes you wonder if , deep down, Norman knew Peter was Spiderman, but simply didn't care or if he didn't want to admit to himself that he'd been fooled for so long.
We actually see Cletus way back in episode 3 of season 2. There's a red head in group therapy with Doc Ock and Electro and the doctor calls him Cletus.
Hell yeah. Ending twist is probably the best twist I've ever seen in any superhero related media ever ngl, it's what truly cements Spectacular's Goblin as the best version by far

The thing I love about this show was that not only Peter got development but his supporting characters and Flash out of all people got character development was great to watch. I still can’t believe that Disney canceled this show but I think it was a business decision because why continue a Spider man show while paying Sony when you could make your own show. I wish this show got a revival like Young Justice did and I hope Young Justice gets revived one last time.
This show was created while the rights for spider-man were being tossed around. Sony retained film rights (and made TASM 2012 movie). Disney got TV rights. But technically this show was created by Sony. So they said... why bother paying Sony to continue the show when we can just make our own. So, they made the Ultimate Spider-Man series.

I’d say out of all the love interests, especially in this show, Gwen def was the best one for Peter. They’ve known each other since like middle school, they’re both into the same things, both are the smartest in their class, and their families get along well just as is. I know Peter and MJ were supposed to be married by the end of this show but I do think Gwen is the perfect GF for Peter, at least in this show.
Fun fact: Carnage was supposed to be one of the main villains in the third season before it got canceled. You can even see Cletus Cassidy in the background in an early season 2 episode I believe.

They made two whole separate animated shows over the course of a decade trying to recreate what Sony had done with their show which only had 26 episodes. But no matter how hard they tried it never worked. Why? Because Disney just doesn’t know how to do Spider-Man right, unlike Sony who does.
Fun fact, that guy who took those rhino specs is none other than Roderick Kingsley aka hob goblin in the amazing spiderman comics! Also, just take a drink every time spidey's leg gets grabbed. Ok?
One of the most frustrating things about this series getting cancelled is that they set the pieces up early so well that you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. Something as odd as Kingsley’s conflicting behavior in times of stress was going to be an excellent payoff.
