In the book: "Shooting Star," there's a scene depicted where Wayne met with Bob Montgomery and John Ford and cried because they were in uniform.
Tyrone Power, a very successful star, kind of Hollywood royalty, was slightly younger but flew C-47's Over the Hump (India Burma). Get over yourself. Ted Williams was brought away from Major League Baseball, became a pilot. Went back for Korea. Actually took Marine Basic (or basic flight) with Tyrone Power.
Stop selling history to the cheap seats.
Wayne had a minor part in The Cowboys, joining a black actor with the larger role. His name was?
The video went into loop, kept repeating itself after taught by stuntmen.
I'd like to see anyone else do better. God Bless John Wayne!
The judas trued to kill Wayne for years, He never liked the American Judas.
It was going great until statements were made, with blatant bias taken from pundit commentary instead of using John Wayne's actual words in the context of conversations they were stated in.
You really need to get your pic right. Cowboys did not ride motorcycles.
Guess you didn't watch Big Jake.
The day J.W. died is the day America lost it's balls !!!
That's very interesting! Stalin was part of Freemasonry and co was Wayne.
He avoided the draft.
1st time Mr. Wayne? ... Marchal Tito ,-probaly
The truths hurts

Very Good!... #210 ✝ {12-19-2022}
This article is mostly nonsense. Including the picture of Gary Cooper in high noon juxtaposed with John Wayne.
john wayne did NOT leave much to be desired...anyone in any race, tribe, or cultural mix CAN BE as self-ish as any old fashioned sinner
🙏🙏🙏
👏🏻👍
I have hear his interviews.... and you are misquoting him....
6:19 is not JW. Looks like Gary Cooper.
Yes, I am all but certain that is a still from the utterly iconic High Noon. If it isn't the best Western, it is probably Cooper's best (though I probably haven't seen them all).
I've grown up watching John Wayne movies..Whenever a John Wayne movie was on my dad was watching it. I agree with everything the Duke stood for. He spoke the truth and many people can't handle or accept the truth. Instead of bashing the man they should honor him and to hell with the ignorant snowflake leftists that don't like it... I stand with the duke
He was an Actor. Don't care one way or the other. Some of his movies were good, some bad. That's more than I want say.
Seriously get a different narrator!
Big deal, Brezhnev tried to take me out. He didn't succeed.
The modern woke are too soft for the Duke….
Gave up with the narrator's voice. Jeez!
I strongly disagree with the Duke's politics and some of his views. However, I dislike revisionist judgements being passed on people long dead. I see that this video left out that he married Hispanic women, spoke Spanish, and had mixed heritage children. But, I only care about his movies. After all, at the end of the day, he was only an actor. So that is how I will remember him. Not as a real person that cannot affect me, but as his characters that take me to some where other than where I am. Stagecoach, The Quiet Man, True Grit, and some others. But that is just my opinion. Anyway, here is the important part: Happy Holidays to all, and I hope all is safe and well. And to Ukraine: Your future will be Glorious. I am sorry for your suffering.
I call bullshit on him being too old at 34 to elist. Many ,many others elisted older than that at the time. He also said not being in the military was the best thing that happened to him. As he said he got all the good roles because of everyone else that had joined up.A fact that annoyed quite a few actors later on. Get your stories straight.
lies at the end.
