Just got this tonight and LOVE it so much. My skin hasn't looked this good in 15 years. I'm not exaggerating. I'm so happy I found this. Based on the reviews, I think it's best for mature, dry skin. ❤
Important Note: should know that there is a statement on their website that says they don't recommend using MB on the eyelids. It's a waxy, moisturizing balm that's got essential oils, and it doesn't dry down. So, it's going to migrate into your eyeballs. Essential oils are not meant to be near your eyes, especially if you have sensitive eyes.
WOW I’m so glad I’m not alone. I am over 60 and proud lol and feel the product is gorgeous, purchased 2 colors. I find I wear less makeup as I mature and work towards healthy clear skin but this was very sticky and my hair did stick to the sides of my face. I was bummed but determined to find out how to apply correctly. Her makeup has always been spot on and the story behind why she started Jones Road is commendable, but I do need a tutorial how to apply it correctly. A tutorial for non-make up artists. I hope a representative from the company actually reads this and can advise.
There's a tutorial on TH-cam from the company, but I feel like it's a disservice to not have it link on the product page, because no one seems to know how to use it correctly. Once I figure it out I love it! Was always oily/combo skin until menopause. Now I am drier this product is awesome! The gal in this video is definitely not the target market age.
I bought one shade, Dusty Rose, love it. Now the thing is, my skin is beyond dry, to the point of being painfully dry, so this product works for me. If you have oily or even combo skin you probably won't feel the benefit of this formula. I want to try an all over tint for simple makeup days.
Dusty Rose is actually one that can be used all over too. I know. I was surprised by this. But according to the chart on the website it's color correcting AND lip and cheeks. So it depends on your skin shade and problems. I think all over probably balances yellow, but not people who are already rosy.
IT IS SOOOO STICKY!!! I tried and it feels as if I have put Vaseline on my face snd left it that way 😢 Is it normal? How do you take it off?? This is crazy
Oh no! We use a brush or just a tiny amount on a finger and build it up from there. Sorry to hear you’ve had a nightmare with it. Try a cleansing balm or micellar water to remove? Will send a link to our round up of the best.
@@elizaukI had the same problem. Although I applied it lightly my hair would stick to it and the smell of the product, which was not something that appealed to me, did not dissipate. I felt grimy actually. I tried it without any make-up, with just serum, with make-up...nothing made it a pleasurable experience. It is not inexpensive but ended up being a waste of $ for me.
Me too ! It's gross and then my hair gets stuck in it. It does feel like vaseline or crisco. This makeup is good for those with unblemished young faces- like this model. but NOT for anyone with redness or uneveness in their complexions. How do you remove it is a great question!
What makeup brush are you using, does that break it down for a smoother and finer application? I did break the seal but not like you I just did a small section but will do it now. What kind of brush please, I can see your hair is NOT sticking to your face so you’re onto something right 😄 Help us that don’t know how to apply.. thank you 🫶
It might be for "mature" skin, but unless i get a butane torch, im pulling on my skin to get it on. Oh, am i supposed to pat it on?? Not working for me! I may be older but im still a Type A, and i never have the patience for any but the quickest routine i can get! Stumbled on the solution the other day. Couple drops of coconut oil, no more, to spread on your face, very thin layer. Next i put my greasy fingers into the balm and it glides on much more smoothly, quickly! I get the color i need and im done! So very little product means i dont have a greasy face. Now that i got that figured out, id like to get her latest shade, i think its "flushed".
No offense but I dont want to buy something that I have to work so hard to break. It doesn’t look good to me. I feel like it’ll dry up super fast too. And people saying it’s sticky. Also in this video I can’t even see how it looks. Too much filter? I watch so many people using it and it just doesn’t appeal to me.
I have one and I just don't reach for it. It feels like Vaseline so it's a no for me. To not feel like a total loss, I rub it on my legs for a nice, sparkly bronze look.
I absolutely love mine. It does not dry out at all. It’s a very good quality product. I put it on my eyes cheeks and lips every single day with a tiny make up brush and blend in with fingers on cheeks. LOVE this stuff.
I just started using one of them and so far I like it. I think people are using way too much. You just have to tap with your finger or rub against the balm. If you scooped out even only a tiny bit then that’s too much. I use it after serums and sunscreen, and it gives me sheer color filter, sort of, and I get compliments from people. But I agree, you have to have dry skin to make it really work for you
i know nothing about makeup brushes so could you please describe what type i should buy to use with this product? because applying with my fingers is just leaving me feeling sticky and gross. if you have a link to the correct brush to use I'd appreciate it!
The product is not meant to be applied with brushes. I use finger tips. It has a beautiful hit of fresh color and glow. However if you don’t have very dry skin ( I don’t) you’ll find it sticky if you use over your moisturizer. I apply vitamin C then apply these balms ( not all over my face). I have it, I’ll use it now and then but won’t buy again.
When you apply it has a tacky finish. If you have dry skin the tackiness goes away rather quickly but if you have oily or combination skin you may want to use the finishing powders over it.
This product is not supposed to be used on the eyes. also, I thought this was something that could be used instead of foundation for a sheer moisturizing tint. Guess not.
I’m using my fingers. You want some warmth to melt it for smooth application on the skin. And with a brush I’m afraid it’s too much amount. You only need to tap or rub with your fingers…
Good luck walking sticky all day And what exactly is it doing besides being sticky? Nothing and its basically useless product another hyped. Bobby Brown sold her brand and now created new brand and NEED to sell this and unfortunately people will buy anything these days.
Honestly I love Vaseline like product. It’s all about preference. I never tried jones road products but it’s very appealing to me as I mix pigment and Vaseline as my makeup all the time. I always believe powdery makeup will age me as it is drying. If you put the right amount, it won’t be greasy at least for me. I don’t look good with powdery full coverage makeup. I’m always about no makeup, makeup look. I should try this balm. Maybe it suits me well.
You have a point. This product is really for dry skin ONLY. Even with my dry skin, after applying a thin layer it stays all day. If I apply it right, then I don’t feel the stickiness and my face seems bare. It is quite nice when applied correctly and evenly. I’ll never apply it like she does bc it’s just too much and it sits on the skin if not massaged evenly and this can be uncomfy-
@@Fatimahtal there are tons of cream makeups (blush, eyeshadows, etc.) without paying $40 for this stuff. It's not necessary even for people who don't use powder makeup.
Revolution a brand I found at Target has a nice balm extremely similar to this. It’s like $8 and comes in a metal tin. I don’t wear much makeup, only eyeshadow, liner, mascara, most days nothing at all. . As I’m aging I need some help with a little blush tone or a barely there bronze highlight. This stuff is perfection for me. The dewy look works for me. I can totally see this not working at all for someone who regularly wears full makeup. I feel like it would nut wear nicely over foundation. Reminder that I know nothing about foundation so I may be way off base with that. LOL

Jones Road cosmetics is designed for mature, dry skin.
That’s what I thought too! Because I have oily skin and I’m well into my adult years but I don’t think I should use this balm
And not for the eyes.

Looks nice. Although this is stated on their website: *Miracle Balm is not intended to be used on the eyes or eyelids

They say put less on

The correct amount depends on your skin's needs. A thicker layer smooths out imperfections but sadly, acts like fly paper.
I love the balms so much!! I use them every day, they are so versatile. I have every shade and love every single one of them!!
I bought one shade, Dusty Rose, love it. Now the thing is, my skin is beyond dry, to the point of being painfully dry, so this product works for me. If you have oily or even combo skin you probably won't feel the benefit of this formula. I want to try an all over tint for simple makeup days.

It’s for more dry mature skin. I can not stand balmy feeling on my face. 😊

Break seal, use fingers. A little goes a very long way. My dry skin loves this product, I put it on with my fingers
I'm 54, and my skin is very oily. Should I pass on this product since I have to powder off the excess oil some days?
Love the look ❤

Thkx now I know how to use ll colors.
Is there a shade you would recommend that could be used for a quick touch of color on lids, cheeks and lips?
Love your name
she literally says that in the video
@@alannaiscoolio Does she “literally” answer my question? Check again. But thank you so much for your work at managing comments.
yep. she does. you asked I answered. @@capturelifenikkibrockman3552
I'd just pick the color you like. The formula is the same. I'm very pale and use the Dusty Rose. So just pick the one you like the best 👍
I just ordered my new kit, and it says explicitly that you're not supposed to put it on your eyes, but I saw Bobbi do it in a video!! Please help
i know nothing about makeup brushes so could you please describe what type i should buy to use with this product? because applying with my fingers is just leaving me feeling sticky and gross. if you have a link to the correct brush to use I'd appreciate it!
Use a spatula, bc this stuff is thick and greasy.

Ok… but you didn’t mention how to apply with what type brush ?
Wow, you look lovely 😍
What do you do for the rest of the face
This product is not supposed to be used on the eyes. also, I thought this was something that could be used instead of foundation for a sheer moisturizing tint. Guess not.
I use it on my eyes, cheeks and lips every day. It’s a very good quality product and I will be buying this forever.
Bobbi Brown says in her video you can use it for eyelids too
It's too big for one person. Do you have smaller size? That's a MUA size, not a single user. It expires before it ends!
You don’t use a brush you use your finger dabbing
Why cant you use a brush??
I’m using my fingers. You want some warmth to melt it for smooth application on the skin. And with a brush I’m afraid it’s too much amount. You only need to tap or rub with your fingers…
❤
You looked like you wanted to cry at the end
On young skin it looks like the last way you'd want look - greasy
Sticky
Are you over 50? No! Then it's NOT FOR YOU!!!
Lmao I’m 30 and love it. Why the yelling?? It’s just makeup
I see no difference from before and after
Your too young to do the review
STICKY. This is why you have your hair tied back. Great for the skin though
Most of her hair. Notice the amount of hair she left for side tendrils(and to hide whatever happens to her face a hair.
You looked better before
Good luck walking sticky all day

Over priced colored vaseline….
There's no petrolatum in it
Looks greasy and gross.
It does look a bit gloopy but when you put it on it has the most gorgeous glowy affect ✨
