I thought ryu was my favorite character. till I fought against guy. anger and frustration facing against guy led to admiration. And I finally started using guy who became my fav character since 2000. Good old days.

Guy needs the player to have lightning fast reflexes and mad chaining skills to pull off combos. But man, I remember the first time I was in that Guy stage in Street Fighter Zero Alpha back in 2000. My Ryu got beat up so bad, I could barely do anything. I did eventually beat guy/barely with Ryu. but that required punches and kicks when Guy got close to me or Tornado kicks when he tried that getting close via those midair throw moves.
@@neoblackcyptron or me it's like guy has great tool for a zoner(like Ryu) to close that gap and thats when he is real hard to beat,plus doing his combos were sooo satisfying

He seems almost like somebody that wandered out of a Samurai Shodown game (despite being from Final Fight) and is a little out of place among the Street Fighter cast. He is part of the anti fireball group which includes Zangief, Honda and Adon. These characters must use pure ability to overcome the technique of fireball strategy.
