If someone is bad at singin', can't the judges reject them in a normal way, instead of roasting them? I mean they might be bad in many things 2 like dancing or cooking

I am sure that he did not directly face the judges, and they knew how he is going to sing from the people who screened him... May be he chose a wrong song... Judges should have not hurt him like this. They could have just reject him politely. This is not good way to reject a person
