I love this! All of these came together so well! I would totally love to see more! I know specifically I was thinking about how cool it would be to get a Hisuian form! Megas and Gigantamax forms all sound cool too! As for my favorites, I personally love the Snowooly, Staticapra, and Birbolt! I knew I would love Staticapra’s final evo and boy did it deliver! The ghost type was so unexpected but that made it all the better!

My Personal Tier List Of This Ones: S - Revilathor, Boltrive - Cool Concepts, Could Designs, Amazing Double Type in the Sinnoh one and they fit perfectly with their groups. A- Mesodore - My only complain is it overlaps way too much with Excadrill , who is in the same gen. B- Crionodon, Snelectro - Their main fail is that sadly, they dont fit too well with their gens. Johtos evolved starters are probably the plainest out there and Crionodon is too complex for the group. On the other hand, Gen 1 starters give a prehistoric vibe in their final forms, while Snelectro feels like he comes from the future. Apart from this, I love them. C - Rodenold - First stages were good but Rodenold is not making it for me. It looks way to similar to Mewscarada, more a counterpart than a member of an starter group, and his design lacks the .... "maturity" you see on the other three. If the middle stages are the teens and the third stages are the adults, Rodenold got stuck in his early 20's. D- Spyellot and Gallantulla - Good concepts, but they feel more like regional bugs than starters (shaking that types stereotype is HARD) and while Gallantulla does a better job at fitting with his group, Spyellot is not a good match. Again, it seems the orginals go for an organic look, while the new one has a modern/superhero style. S - Burnurse - Probably a copyright lawsuit in the making by all the other bear pokemon, seems like a weird mashup that doesn't add too much. On the other side, apart from the pink, nothing in here says "RPG Healer" . The other Kalos starters shout "Ninja, Wizard, Soldier" ... this one just says "Bear".
Technically, the theme one could apply to Hoenn's starters could be taxonomic in nature, as all of these starters are based on different classes of organisms, animals in this case (A class is a taxonomic rank, mammals are one example of a class). Spyellot follows this actually; Sceptile is a reptile, Swampert could be interpreted as either an amphibian, a ray-finned fish, or a lungfish, Blaziken is a bird, and Spyellot is an insect. All of those terms refer to classes.
I like your concepts and I more or less agree with your explanations and designs - and I'm especially glad, you blessed us with your starters evolutions (both middle and final). I'm particularly interested in the Gallantula (its similarity with the name of Galvantula was the immediate thing that got to my mind), especially because of its name. You explained, it comes from gallant + tarantula (Tarountula anyone?) and because I'm Czech, I also immediately thought about the word “galanterie“ which is czech for haberdashery. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound any similar to the czech word, which is shame, because it could also fit perfectly, because your fakemon looks like it would be capable of doing some sewing (second after Leavanny…), whether it was clothing or nests. You also supported this by saying its concept has implements of aerial silks (silk is also one of materials used to create clothing, fabric and other similar stuff) so I fell in love with that one the most of all of those final starter evolutions (though, Boltrive lookes gorgeous!, but electric isn't my favorite type at all and even if I quite like Birbolt because of its incredible cuteness and all of his evolution because of the attitude that radiates from them, I'm still a Gallantula fan).
to be fair, the final evolution of the Unova starter looks more of an Excadrill evolution or mega evolution to me, it feels more like a copy paste pokemon, so I hate to see them do that to my favourite pokemon region
This series made me think of how crazy Pokémon games would be if they gave us a 4th starter type, but it's the most disadvantageous type combo for most of the game. Would be insane.
The Paldea starters more-so have a theme of celebrations. Meowscarada represents Mardi Gras and its relations with jesters, Skeledirge represents Día de Muertos alongside its sugar skulls and relations to the afterlife, and Quaquaval represents The Rio Carnival with their flashy feathered dancers.
Bruinurse and Rodenold are my favorite 4th fakemon starter final starters, I would definitely choose those 2, if Ursnow and Chillemmi were actual starters.

I realized each of the gen 9 starters have secondary type that is strong against others secondary type or weak against another’s secondsry type with that in mind which starters what’s rodenolds secondary fairy type strong against which starters secondary type
I feel like Gallantula would be renamed to Gallantweave/Gallantweaver if official, since the design reminds me of the Golden Orb Weaver. Furthermore, I feel like the Paldean starter feels a little too similar to Meowserada.
it would have to be the hidden ability tho cuz the electric starter would have to have the ability thats the electric type equivalent to overgrow/blaze/torrent
I like the designs; however the concepts behind the new Galarian and Paldean starters don't quite match up. I always thought the original starters for Galar and Paldea were based on their country of inspiration i.e. England and Spain.
You know, you should have kept the gold on the armadillo messodore or something like that after all Aztec used gold as jewelry ornaments and decorations, and although Mayans preferred jade they also utilize it, so keeping the gold and who knows adding some jade on the decision like on the head or something could be a great idea, I still love it tho
I like those final evolutions. I've been waiting for them since the video last video about 4th starters. Also I though the Galar's electric-type starter would be loosely based on Lara Croft due to being a British video game icon (like Inteleon was loosely based on James Bond), but I'm cool with your concept.
If we do another video on this, I think l would give extra forms to all of the mons whose other starters also have forms!! So Megas for gens 1 and 3 like you said, gmax for Gen 8, etc!
This is great could you make a video based on how Poipole is a starter Pokémon from Ultra Space mainly what would the other starters might look like or maybe what if Johto has fossil Pokémon two evolution lines and one basic Pokémon similar to Kanto for balancing purposes.
I’m picking your starters in Kanto, maybe Hoenn and definitely Galar. And I don’t know about Sinnoh because the choice was already hard enough and you managed to make it harder! 😅
If the Pokémon Company for some reason decided to reboot the entire Pokémon franchise and go all the way back to Gen 1, the Starter Pokémon need to include the Electric type Starter, and the Normal type Starter, kinda like they did for Pikachu and Eevee
After fully realising the starter lines, I would have to go with Bruinurse. The design is so off-kilter that I wish it was real. Ice / Fairy would also highlight the new Fairy Type as well as give Ice types a chance to shine in the early game. Crionidon, Mesodore and Boltrive are also pretty spot on - mainly because of weaknesses I find in those region's starters. And your three make them a bit more palatable.
What about the name Crhynox for the middle Evo of the Johto starter? It still has Cryo but adds an H to mimic the rh in rhino and then the "Y" in Cryo replaces the "I" in rhino to fully combine the two. Meanwhile the "X" can denote a crossing or Crossroads, as a middle evolution is the crossroad between the first and final forms.
I noticed that in this whole series, he never really brought up those important details when taking into consideration for their designs. I guess he missed it or he couldn't find a way.
Oh my god, my new favorite! Revillathor 😎 I’d use it over Invernape & it would change my complete team, like there would be no fire type & no luxray. So there would be at least 2 new Pokémon to find some more coverage 😂

This whole series so far has been extremely epic. I can also already see the Mega Forms for Snelectro, Spyellot and Bruinursa, as well as Gigantimax forms for Snelectro as well, on top of a G-Max form obviously for Boltrive. Because of the fact that the Hisui Region is a thing due to Legends Arceas, I can also see some Hisuian forms of one of these new starters to pair up with Decidueye, Samurott, and Typhlosion, specifically the hypothetical Sinnoh starter, Revillathor.
My six favorites are the Gen 3, Gen 4, Gen 5, Gen 7 and Gen 9 starters, but from all of then, i think i will go with Chillemi or Armadore because Fairy-type is one of my favorite types, but Gen 5 is my favorite pokemon do to it been the Gen i've watched first, a though the two Bug-type starters are very interesting too! No, i know what? I'm going with Staticabra because i just love it's whole line, not only in design and typing, but in consept too. And now a final question: why Chillemi doesn't have a Spanish word on it's name like the other Paldea starters?
The Unova new starter (Mesodore) is my favorite by far, with the second place given to Gallantula. I loved them. But the fairy starters seemed cursed to me lol 🤣🤣🤣 I really don't like their designs at all (just my opinion though, but for me is a easy pass, and I love fairy types, but those looked awful to me). But anyway, nice video. 😘
7:30 Spyelot is cool, but I could easily have seen Pupot evolving into a Bug/Dragon type. The spots on Spetot and Pupot definitely work as false eyes or a false "dragon snout." I think Spyelot is definitely a cool fakemon and is a better spy bug than Spidops.
In all honesty, Bruinurse just looks strange to me with the overly cutesy face on a big and bulky body. Just a strange contrast. I know it is likely intentional, though. My favorite of these final evolutions I think is Mesodore. The giant shell is a little odd, but still, the creature within is kinda cute. Though I'm not sure I'm able to see how Dillodore would be able to stand on its hind legs with a shell of that immense size compared to its body. I would definitely use either it or Volgoat's line, but personally with most of these, I overall prefer some of the canon starter lines.
I think what you could've named Gallantula is Gallidow, as a representation of Black Widows, and also how most superheroes end up being alone in love. Sad but it certainly works. Edit: Gallidow also sounds, and is just as easy to say as Gallantula
Ok here are my thoughts on every single one of them: 1) Snelectro is a cool Pokemon. Won't pick over Charizard but still a great idea. 2) Crionadon is another cool Pokemon (no pun intended) but once again I won't pick it over Feraligatr 3) Spyellot is another great idea, I think that if it wasn't a a Starter and it would not have to be a pure Bug-Type, it could've easily be a part Dark-Type too, since Darkness goes very well with the theme of spies. 4) Revillathor is THE BEST of them all in this video. You just made another Sinnoh that I could see myself picking up just like the rest of the Sinnoh starters, which is one of the reasons why Sinnoh is my favorite region of all time. I could go with any Starter of Sinnoh and I can see myself going with Revillathor as well. Fantastic job on that one. 5) Mesodore is another starter that I won't pick over my favorite in this Gen (Serperior) but still a very good Pokemon 6) Bruinurse keeps the RPG theme perfectly, so great job on that, but once again I would still go with Greninja first. Heck I think I would go with the rest of the Kalos starters before her, but it's still a great Pokeomn 7) Gallantua is sadly the one Pokemon that you messed up with. Not because of the name but because of it's typing. Rowlet is the Grass-Type Starter of Gen 7 and both Rowlet and Dartrix are also Flying-Types before they evolve into Decidueye. You can't have a Starter taking the secondary Type of another Starter, just like you couldn't give Revillathor the Steel-Type because of Empoleon. I do like the general Superhero them of it, which is why I think it should be a Bug/Fighting type instead, and then give it the option to learn some Flying-Type moves. 8) Boltrive is my 2nd favorite here only behind Revillathor, really love the video game theme around it. I actually could see myself picking it over Rillaboom. 9) Rodenold is once again another great Pokemon although I won't pick it over Meowscarada, so it's another one of those for me. But once again still a great Pokemon.
They should add a 4th starter that doesn't hold a type so there's a harder choice for seasoned players, the games are getting way too easy. Also I hope GameFreak can get back to their old style. All. the designs I'm seeing on TH-cam are better than anything they have dropped in years :(
For some reason seeing Spyellot made me think, "It's shiny color could be a red shell as an homage to a standard ladybug, black body could become yellow, the red accent on the face could be black."
Time for the: Mega Snelectro Mega Spyellot Gigantamax Boltrive and of course: Hissuian form for one of those remaining starters -Gallantula's Z-move would be nice, but I don't think you will do that-
Rillaboom: The British made the modern zoo so here's a gorilla that's also a rock star, which was also made by the British Inteleon: Based on James Bond, one of the most iconic characters in the world and a British icon Cinderace: Soccer is one of the most popular sports in the world, and is especially popular in the United Kingdom Boltrive: idk heres an eagle (that's Electric/Flying while every other starter is monotype and doesn't even look like it can fly) based on a character from a game no one has played that was already referenced by rotom
Ohhh, some reat final evos here! Love the bug 'Proto Greninja-like' design in Spyellot. Revillathor, Gallantula, Crinodon and Boltrive look really cool. Mesodore is pretty fierce. The Aztec / Mayan pyramid is a nice touch. Bruinurse looks really lovable as well. I feel Rodenold looks a bit too similar to Meowscarada and Quaquaval in stance and colour [it lacks that signature popping colour], though.
Revillathor is better off as a ghost type than a steel type since the latter would've been way to predictable and by extension boring. On the other hand giving it the Ghost type not only gives it a type combination that gives it a sense of the etheral wich fits with the divinity theme if the starters but it also allows it to be a cool reference to a very obscure aspect of Nordic mythology that not everyone knows about wich fits with the ghost type since is the best type at showing deep lore through visual designs.
I feel like rodenold isn't nearly as detailed as the rest of the paldean started to fit in Also I noticed that they are very clearly animal inspired unlike rodenold is a bit ambiguous
The Alolan starters also seem to have a theme of the hero, the villain, and the damsel in distress. Could Gallantula fit the role of the character that guides the hero on their quest?
I LOOOOVEEEE Spyellot and it's story and how you created it I REALLY LOVED IT And how I predicted Rodenold was going to be Ice/Fairy ;3 And yes I think I would pick Rodenold but my favourite will still and always be Skellidurge
I like all of them, but I think snelectro is a bit too overdesigned compared to the other starters, but I still love it. Same thing with the johto starter. Spyelott fits good with with the others. The sinnoh starter is just perfect. It fits so good with its design with the others. Mesodore is good aswell and think is a very good fiting design and insperasion. Kalos starter is mid, I love what it is inspired on and the new fairy type, but it stands out on a different way, a unespected way. Gallantulla works perfectly with the other starters design and I personaly think is the best designed one. Galars starters are bad, but boltrives design is so good I think it is better than the original galar starters. Rodenold is a very good design and works very very good with the others❤👍. I wish I am part of this😢.
Now we just need a video about their shiny versions. Also I'd like to see what kind of starters you could come up with if you had to stick to a centralized type across each generation. What type balances around Fire Water and Grass though? Would it truly be Electric?
I just came across this series and I just binge watched all of them. This is some really amazing work dude! There are two standouts in this series - one good and one bad in my opinion. I think the best one of these is the Alolan Starter Bittybug. It's my favorite out of all of these possible starters, and while I was initially put off by the middle evolution, seeing the final result I can honestly say it regained the top position. The tough guy middle stage and the dancing of the first stage meld really well together for Gallantula's heroics. The only one I think that doesn't match well with the region is Bruinurse. I love the first and second stages, they're very cute and pretty. I can see them alongside the rest of the Kalos starters no problem. But Bruinurse stands out in a bad way, it's missing something I feel that ties it into the group. I think that thing is it is missing an "item". All the other Kalos starters have something that reinforces it's rpg role. Delphox has the wand/staff, Greninja has the water shuriken, and Chestnaught can make those spiky shields. What object can Bruinurse make that ties it into the cleric/healer role?
Gallantula could be said as “Gale - Anne - chew - la” to reference the flying type being associated with wind and air more. And a gale is a name for wind. Alternatively. Typhoonid or Galanthorac. EDIT MY FRIEND SUGGESTED A NAME AND IM SO MAD I DIDNT THINK IF THIS Arachnobat, an arachnid acrobat. I love it.
The paldea starters are also based on festivities of countries colonized by Spain/Portugal, meowscarada=Mardi gras, skeledirge=dia de los muertos, quaquaval=Carnaval
That's kind of the roadblock this Paldea Starter has with the rest of the series. There really isn't a festival with a focus on acting or theater like the others, let alone in one of the countries colonized by Spain or Portugal.
I didn't like spyeallot very much at first, but after looking at it for a while I think it might be one of the very few of these that I would choose over the og 3

RODENOLD MY BABY AAAAAAAAAAAAAA IT’S SO CUUUUUUUTE I can’t unsee its coat looking like a Rowlet face Definitely would pick Rodenold, Bruinurse, and Spyellot because they’re cute (Also Gallantula is one letter away from my favorite Pokémon- a Pokémon which you put it up against as if to prove the point.)
I really like those videos but I'm not really sure about the electric snek in Kanto. With the lightning it looks kinda like a Cobra and that in the gen where Arbok released makes it feel more like an Arbok-Variant/Regional Form instead of a Starter. Still great work my dude! :)
Hmm. If I could pick among the starters with these fourth starters included... 🤔 Kanto: Charmander (Snellow comes in a VERY close second! Snelectro is so cool but I've got a major dragon bias.) Johto: Snowoolly 🎉 (Had my attention by Crinoceros, sealed the deal with Crionodon.) Hoenn: Treecko (After the explanation for Spyellot it rocketed from a close third to a VERY close second!) Sinnoh: Staticapra 🎉 (Was already hooked by the first stage and it only got better as it evolved.) Unova: Armadore 🎉 (Just BARELY beat out Snivy, I really struggled with picking here!) Kalos: Ursnow 🎉 (I do think in battle I would prefer Greninja but, despite the Ice typing, Bruinurse really melted my heart.) Alola: Popplio (Popplio's such an underdog. Still, I'd make Bittybug my second pick since Gallantula looks like a speedy 'mon and Alola is definitely lacking in speed.) Galar: Birbolt 🎉 (Sobble's evolution line is also a character development story and I thought it couldn't be topped, but the moment I saw Boltrive my jaw dropped at the clear Pulseman reference!) Paldea: Fuecoco (Still can't tell if I'd take Chillemmi as my second or third pick but, for me, it couldn't beat the goofy charm of Fuecoco and Crocalor and the sudden shift to badass with Skeledirge. Plus, I was burnt out on overly human-like starter designs.) Overall, these were amazing what-if starters! For me, none of them felt like last-place contenders when compared to the official starters, which makes me a little sad that they're not real. Like HOLY MUK, Revillathor and Boltrive are the biggest reasons to cry over that fact!
Boltrive looks amazing, my personal favorite, I'd love to see it as electric fighting just so I could put it on a fighting team with Blaziken, Hisuian Decidueye and Quaquaval

This series made me think of how crazy Pokémon games would be if they gave us a 4th starter type, but it's the most disadvantageous type combo for most of the game. Would be insane.

The Paldea starters more-so have a theme of celebrations. Meowscarada represents Mardi Gras and its relations with jesters, Skeledirge represents Día de Muertos alongside its sugar skulls and relations to the afterlife, and Quaquaval represents The Rio Carnival with their flashy feathered dancers.

Bruinurse and Rodenold are my favorite 4th fakemon starter final starters, I would definitely choose those 2, if Ursnow and Chillemmi were actual starters.

I realized each of the gen 9 starters have secondary type that is strong against others secondary type or weak against another’s secondsry type with that in mind which starters what’s rodenolds secondary fairy type strong against which starters secondary type

I feel like Gallantula would be renamed to Gallantweave/Gallantweaver if official, since the design reminds me of the Golden Orb Weaver.
Furthermore, I feel like the Paldean starter feels a little too similar to Meowserada.

I like the designs; however the concepts behind the new Galarian and Paldean starters don't quite match up. I always thought the original starters for Galar and Paldea were based on their country of inspiration i.e. England and Spain.

You know, you should have kept the gold on the armadillo messodore or something like that after all Aztec used gold as jewelry ornaments and decorations, and although Mayans preferred jade they also utilize it, so keeping the gold and who knows adding some jade on the decision like on the head or something could be a great idea, I still love it tho

If the Pokémon Company for some reason decided to reboot the entire Pokémon franchise and go all the way back to Gen 1, the Starter Pokémon need to include the Electric type Starter, and the Normal type Starter, kinda like they did for Pikachu and Eevee

I Want To See Each Starter Pokémon Have A Final Move That Is Only To Them To Used!
After fully realising the starter lines, I would have to go with Bruinurse. The design is so off-kilter that I wish it was real. Ice / Fairy would also highlight the new Fairy Type as well as give Ice types a chance to shine in the early game. Crionidon, Mesodore and Boltrive are also pretty spot on - mainly because of weaknesses I find in those region's starters. And your three make them a bit more palatable.
What about the name Crhynox for the middle Evo of the Johto starter? It still has Cryo but adds an H to mimic the rh in rhino and then the "Y" in Cryo replaces the "I" in rhino to fully combine the two. Meanwhile the "X" can denote a crossing or Crossroads, as a middle evolution is the crossroad between the first and final forms.
Questions:
1. How is the Birbolt line British?
2. How does the Chillemmi line pertain to the Iberian peninsula and its celebrations?
I noticed that in this whole series, he never really brought up those important details when taking into consideration for their designs. I guess he missed it or he couldn't find a way.

This whole series so far has been extremely epic. I can also already see the Mega Forms for Snelectro, Spyellot and Bruinursa, as well as Gigantimax forms for Snelectro as well, on top of a G-Max form obviously for Boltrive. Because of the fact that the Hisui Region is a thing due to Legends Arceas, I can also see some Hisuian forms of one of these new starters to pair up with Decidueye, Samurott, and Typhlosion, specifically the hypothetical Sinnoh starter, Revillathor.
My six favorites are the Gen 3, Gen 4, Gen 5, Gen 7 and Gen 9 starters, but from all of then, i think i will go with Chillemi or Armadore because Fairy-type is one of my favorite types, but Gen 5 is my favorite pokemon do to it been the Gen i've watched first, a though the two Bug-type starters are very interesting too! No, i know what? I'm going with Staticabra because i just love it's whole line, not only in design and typing, but in consept too.
And now a final question: why Chillemi doesn't have a Spanish word on it's name like the other Paldea starters?
The Unova new starter (Mesodore) is my favorite by far, with the second place given to Gallantula. I loved them. But the fairy starters seemed cursed to me lol 🤣🤣🤣 I really don't like their designs at all (just my opinion though, but for me is a easy pass, and I love fairy types, but those looked awful to me). But anyway, nice video. 😘
7:30 Spyelot is cool, but I could easily have seen Pupot evolving into a Bug/Dragon type. The spots on Spetot and Pupot definitely work as false eyes or a false "dragon snout."
I think Spyelot is definitely a cool fakemon and is a better spy bug than Spidops.

In all honesty, Bruinurse just looks strange to me with the overly cutesy face on a big and bulky body. Just a strange contrast. I know it is likely intentional, though.
My favorite of these final evolutions I think is Mesodore. The giant shell is a little odd, but still, the creature within is kinda cute. Though I'm not sure I'm able to see how Dillodore would be able to stand on its hind legs with a shell of that immense size compared to its body. I would definitely use either it or Volgoat's line, but personally with most of these, I overall prefer some of the canon starter lines.
I think what you could've named Gallantula is Gallidow, as a representation of Black Widows, and also how most superheroes end up being alone in love. Sad but it certainly works.
Edit: Gallidow also sounds, and is just as easy to say as Gallantula
Bruinurse's name also has the word "ruin" smackdab in the middle of it, which is what it will do to competitive OU.
Ok here are my thoughts on every single one of them:
1) Snelectro is a cool Pokemon. Won't pick over Charizard but still a great idea.
2) Crionadon is another cool Pokemon (no pun intended) but once again I won't pick it over Feraligatr
3) Spyellot is another great idea, I think that if it wasn't a a Starter and it would not have to be a pure Bug-Type, it could've easily be a part Dark-Type too, since Darkness goes very well with the theme of spies.
4) Revillathor is THE BEST of them all in this video. You just made another Sinnoh that I could see myself picking up just like the rest of the Sinnoh starters, which is one of the reasons why Sinnoh is my favorite region of all time. I could go with any Starter of Sinnoh and I can see myself going with Revillathor as well. Fantastic job on that one.
5) Mesodore is another starter that I won't pick over my favorite in this Gen (Serperior) but still a very good Pokemon
6) Bruinurse keeps the RPG theme perfectly, so great job on that, but once again I would still go with Greninja first. Heck I think I would go with the rest of the Kalos starters before her, but it's still a great Pokeomn
7) Gallantua is sadly the one Pokemon that you messed up with. Not because of the name but because of it's typing. Rowlet is the Grass-Type Starter of Gen 7 and both Rowlet and Dartrix are also Flying-Types before they evolve into Decidueye. You can't have a Starter taking the secondary Type of another Starter, just like you couldn't give Revillathor the Steel-Type because of Empoleon. I do like the general Superhero them of it, which is why I think it should be a Bug/Fighting type instead, and then give it the option to learn some Flying-Type moves.
8) Boltrive is my 2nd favorite here only behind Revillathor, really love the video game theme around it. I actually could see myself picking it over Rillaboom.
9) Rodenold is once again another great Pokemon although I won't pick it over Meowscarada, so it's another one of those for me. But once again still a great Pokemon.
They should add a 4th starter that doesn't hold a type so there's a harder choice for seasoned players, the games are getting way too easy. Also I hope GameFreak can get back to their old style. All. the designs I'm seeing on TH-cam are better than anything they have dropped in years :(
For some reason seeing Spyellot made me think, "It's shiny color could be a red shell as an homage to a standard ladybug, black body could become yellow, the red accent on the face could be black."

Boltrive: idk heres an eagle (that's Electric/Flying while every other starter is monotype and doesn't even look like it can fly) based on a character from a game no one has played that was already referenced by rotom

Love the bug 'Proto Greninja-like' design in Spyellot.
Revillathor, Gallantula, Crinodon and Boltrive look really cool.
Mesodore is pretty fierce. The Aztec / Mayan pyramid is a nice touch.
Bruinurse looks really lovable as well.
I feel Rodenold looks a bit too similar to Meowscarada and Quaquaval in stance and colour [it lacks that signature popping colour], though.
Revillathor is better off as a ghost type than a steel type since the latter would've been way to predictable and by extension boring. On the other hand giving it the Ghost type not only gives it a type combination that gives it a sense of the etheral wich fits with the divinity theme if the starters but it also allows it to be a cool reference to a very obscure aspect of Nordic mythology that not everyone knows about wich fits with the ghost type since is the best type at showing deep lore through visual designs.

Bruinurse doesn't look like an Ice type at all, to be honest. You should have made it look more like an Ice Type.
I feel like rodenold isn't nearly as detailed as the rest of the paldean started to fit in

The Alolan starters also seem to have a theme of the hero, the villain, and the damsel in distress. Could Gallantula fit the role of the character that guides the hero on their quest?

Love all of them. BUT i think Bruinursa with an "a" sounds better than Bruinurse.
I like all of them, but I think snelectro is a bit too overdesigned compared to the other starters, but I still love it. Same thing with the johto starter. Spyelott fits good with with the others. The sinnoh starter is just perfect. It fits so good with its design with the others. Mesodore is good aswell and think is a very good fiting design and insperasion. Kalos starter is mid, I love what it is inspired on and the new fairy type, but it stands out on a different way, a unespected way. Gallantulla works perfectly with the other starters design and I personaly think is the best designed one. Galars starters are bad, but boltrives design is so good I think it is better than the original galar starters. Rodenold is a very good design and works very very good with the others❤👍. I wish I am part of this😢.

I just came across this series and I just binge watched all of them. This is some really amazing work dude!
There are two standouts in this series - one good and one bad in my opinion.
I think the best one of these is the Alolan Starter Bittybug. It's my favorite out of all of these possible starters, and while I was initially put off by the middle evolution, seeing the final result I can honestly say it regained the top position. The tough guy middle stage and the dancing of the first stage meld really well together for Gallantula's heroics.
The only one I think that doesn't match well with the region is Bruinurse.
I love the first and second stages, they're very cute and pretty. I can see them alongside the rest of the Kalos starters no problem. But Bruinurse stands out in a bad way, it's missing something I feel that ties it into the group. I think that thing is it is missing an "item". All the other Kalos starters have something that reinforces it's rpg role. Delphox has the wand/staff, Greninja has the water shuriken, and Chestnaught can make those spiky shields. What object can Bruinurse make that ties it into the cleric/healer role?
Gallantula could be said as “Gale - Anne - chew - la” to reference the flying type being associated with wind and air more. And a gale is a name for wind.
Alternatively. Typhoonid or Galanthorac.

The paldea starters are also based on festivities of countries colonized by Spain/Portugal, meowscarada=Mardi gras, skeledirge=dia de los muertos, quaquaval=Carnaval
That's kind of the roadblock this Paldea Starter has with the rest of the series. There really isn't a festival with a focus on acting or theater like the others, let alone in one of the countries colonized by Spain or Portugal.
I didn't like spyeallot very much at first, but after looking at it for a while I think it might be one of the very few of these that I would choose over the og 3

I really like those videos but I'm not really sure about the electric snek in Kanto. With the lightning it looks kinda like a Cobra and that in the gen where Arbok released makes it feel more like an Arbok-Variant/Regional Form instead of a Starter. Still great work my dude! :)

Kanto: Charmander (Snellow comes in a VERY close second! Snelectro is so cool but I've got a major dragon bias.)
Johto: Snowoolly 🎉 (Had my attention by Crinoceros, sealed the deal with Crionodon.)
Hoenn: Treecko (After the explanation for Spyellot it rocketed from a close third to a VERY close second!)
Sinnoh: Staticapra 🎉 (Was already hooked by the first stage and it only got better as it evolved.)
Unova: Armadore 🎉 (Just BARELY beat out Snivy, I really struggled with picking here!)
Kalos: Ursnow 🎉 (I do think in battle I would prefer Greninja but, despite the Ice typing, Bruinurse really melted my heart.)
Alola: Popplio (Popplio's such an underdog. Still, I'd make Bittybug my second pick since Gallantula looks like a speedy 'mon and Alola is definitely lacking in speed.)
Galar: Birbolt 🎉 (Sobble's evolution line is also a character development story and I thought it couldn't be topped, but the moment I saw Boltrive my jaw dropped at the clear Pulseman reference!)
Paldea: Fuecoco (Still can't tell if I'd take Chillemmi as my second or third pick but, for me, it couldn't beat the goofy charm of Fuecoco and Crocalor and the sudden shift to badass with Skeledirge. Plus, I was burnt out on overly human-like starter designs.)
Overall, these were amazing what-if starters! For me, none of them felt like last-place contenders when compared to the official starters, which makes me a little sad that they're not real. Like HOLY MUK, Revillathor and Boltrive are the biggest reasons to cry over that fact!
My favorite final evolution is Revillathor.The concept is cool with Thor's dead goats. My favorite starter Pokemon is Staticapra.
