This is a truly great find, and gives us a better understanding of the design evolution. So, they started with a skirted design with the jet feed tubes sort of "stuck on" to the sides, and then moved to the exposed trapway design and got better and better at integrating the jet lines. Very nice!
That toilet is awesome. And of course, my whole entire apartment complex is full of these specific Kilgore Apex toilets and Kilgore Alpha toilets all from 1971. Both the 2 Kilgore Alpha toilets in the Men's and Women's rooms in the office are still there so don't worry about that. The 1971 Avocado Green Kilgore Apex toilet in my friends apartment room is still there. One cool thing that I get to do soon, thanks to our apartment manager, he is going to take me around the whole complex to film as many bathrooms inside every vacent apartment room. There is also one room with a blue toilet and blue bathtub as well. If the blue toilet in there is a 1971 Kilgore Apex or a 1971 Kohler Alpha like this one, then that blue Kilgore Apex or Alpha toilet might be a YT First. Hopefully I will be able to film it soon but sadly there are people still living in that room. But the good news is that soon they will me moving out. Then I will be able to film it.

I am so glad to have this. I also had one from 1955 which unfortunately is lost now but it had a similar style and one siphon jet. Very nice toilet.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_RestorationsWhat do you mean lost? did it break?

Absolutely EPIC!!!
Truly epic! I can't wait!
Ikr
This is my favorite style Kilgore with the two syphon jets. I think you have another identical one that’s a decade older.
Same, these are some of my absolute favorites. The one I had from 1955 only had one siphon jet.
Sweet find!
I absolutely love this generation of Kilgore Apex. It's such a shame that they used a freaking 9-in rough in or else I would have installed it.
Sweet! Way better than the later gen ones, especially the 1980s ones.
By far
❤ All that toilet needs is love.
Yeah, I got it nicer looking
Very nice!
Thanks!
Much better flush on the higher water. Did you restore this one and clean out the mineral deposits? Or is this how you got it
This is how I got it. It was in great shape already.
Who wants me to make a toilet flushing?
That would be great!
Thanks
It will be a new toilet
It would be cool to use a flushmate with that. That is a toilet pressure assist incase you don't know
I have one or two Flushmates and I think that would be an interesting test. However, 1.6 gallons wouldn't go very far.
Same place as BTR’s Barlow?
Didnt you have a 1955 one as well?
It came from a different one
Some from the 1980s were very bad rinse
For sure. I've seen those firsthand and they suck.
yeah cuz of the sluggish flushes
Hi ❤
Hello
Isn't this the same as your 55
My 1955 Apex had one siphon jet
It had two, just watched the video again and it definitely had two
@@brosigg527 Yeah, I have no idea why I thought it was one. I just watched it again too.
