- In this episode we do a detailed overview of the lithium battery setup in Chase's Lexus GX470. All batteries and main electronics are available through Battle Born Batteries, and were supplied for this video. This setup is perfectly dialed for long trips off-grid while being able to cook on induction and charge multiple devices throughout. We also utilize it for powering our diesel heater, charging and powering anything from grinders to electric chain saws. There is no propane in this rig and some benefits to that are extremely fast cooking, easy cleanup, it is unaffected by altitude and wind, and since there is no flame it's unaffected by "no flame" requirements during dry seasons on public land. After over a year of use, I can confidently say this is one setup that is just incredible!

Thanks for stopping by!
That is a huge waste of money to run a fridge and to charge a couple of small camera batteries. As for the stove, a gas stove would have done a great job just as well for 1/10 the price.
While it definitely is an investment, there is a lot more to it than a couple small camera batteries. When you invest in a solid 12v system, you can convert everything to 12v and eliminate carrying fuels. Think carrying an electric chain saw, angle grinder, even a stick welder. Comparatively, a similar sized premium built-in gas stove system after considering lines, tank, mount, fittings, etc. isn't cheap either, and then you still have to purchase a battery system and you now have to carry another fuel - whereas this is regenerating for the life of the batteries. No more making special stops for propane or running out in the middle of nowhere because you forgot to fill up. Sprinter vans have used similar sized systems for years and are quite popular and run the same devices/have similar demand. These systems are quite popular in AUS as well for touring. Benefits also include camping in areas that prohibit open flames, working way better at altitude, and being immune to wind. It's definitely not for everyone though, but there's some food for thought. Thank you for checking out the video and the channel.
Sell this as fast as you can and buy a cheap small RV and have your lady friend be in a lot more comfort. The extra money you make you can take her out on a date or two. I legit have no idea what I just watched and why it was made.
Haha sounds like you might’ve found yourself in the wrong part of TH-cam my guy 😂
