The first movie I thought of when I saw the trailer was "Being John Malkovich", but that was just a very surface connection that my brain made. Seems kinda Charlie Kaufman-esque, but that's just a gut reaction, based on very little information, so we'll see if that's accurate or not. I definitely want to see it this weekend!
Half way through the movie I was also hoping the ending was going to be really audacious, but once the ending happened I actually kind of liked how unapologetically sentimental it was. I still can understand the disappointment though
I won’t lie and say all of Nick’s movies are great, but he really does try to stretch himself artistically like Jeff Lynn of Electric Light Orchestra. Very few artist try to do it, but it should be appreciated, as we all should try to extend ourselves in to the canvas of life ( sarcasm, I’m really not that up my ass) but we really should.
I totally forgot that I'd already seen Sick Of Myself. I looked it up and thought - oh, that movie! Yeah, it's a decent 7/10 for me but somewhat forgettable, evidently! Looking forward to this one.
This film has a lot in common with Beau Is Afraid. I happen to think that film is the actual embodiment of narcissistic self-indulgence and Dream Scenario is really no different. Both films star actors vastly superior to the scripts they're working with. Both films revolve around a loser white male in the dark night of their post mid-life existence, and both films indulge the director's perverse and misguided attempt at showing shocking scenes just for the mere sake of bragging to their woke colleagues. Also both films have endings that will leave the audience vastly underwhelmed, disappointed, and stinking with the sweat of ticket regret. Cage deserves much better than this film offers and yet he makes his pathetic character sympathetic and fearsome at the same time. I can't help but appreciate the mere glimpses of horror that are hinted at in Dream Scenario, and I firmly believe this should've been made as a horror film. In that dream scenario, it truly would've thrived as nightmare fuel.
Phrase of the day: "Testicular fortitude"
lol, I wish I could claim credit for inventing it

Drib by Kristoffer Borgli is kind of amazing and I got the blue ray for 8 dollars. Great film about Hollywood
Nick cage is doing so much recently its amazing. Just about to watch butchers crossing you should review that if you get around to watching it.
If people missed the movie "Pig" from 2021, then they are missing his best performance in decades.
So glad to hear it’s a good watch. The trailer already had me but you sealed it for me.
After the"extraordinary talent" flick I have a new founders for Mr Cage, looking forward to seeing this one💚🇬🇧🌱

"Fumble the bag" is a saying, mostly used in England
Adaptation = best movie ever. (Love the channel btw)
Nicholas Cage has always had it!.

Thanks James. Definitely checking this out.
Just saw it. Was very entertaining and had me all the way to the last quarter. Would have been nice to have a more bizarre payoff
I will definitely check this out. I will watch your review after checking out the flick.

But yeah hopefully Nick can inspire you too it, and be as AWESOME, as he is.
They say the ending is utterly unsatisfying.
