I agree 👍 He'd be blown away. It's freaking awesome cover. But he'll probably be the only person that could sing it without the lyrics in front of him..
@@rhymeswithsomethingy4766 there’s a classic video floating around of Johnny performing this song live using cue cards 😂 even the writer Hank Snow had trouble performing it live. And you’ll never hear Bob Dylan sing subterranean homesick blues live, he can’t remember the words either.

Johnny Cash is smiling in heaven. Knowing there's someone who has the same soul and passion of a singer and guitarist like him. Love this version. It respect the song and original singer yet add just enough her own thing to make it unique to her. Love the energy she put into this song. she really did it justice.
I came across this version while searching for the new supergroup L.A Rats new release. WOW.. this is the best version since the legend Mr Cash. Brilliant.
I just discovered this talented girl a half hour ago and I am blown away!! And that’s not easy to do. She is Unique, natural talent! Love it! 👍👍✌️💪👏👏👏👏

Anytime I see a young artist pay tribute to Mr Cash,I have to take a listen... Jade, fantastic job,my only wish would be to do the next verse,my hometown of Louisville is the first mentioned,so BUMMER,otherwise, its very respectfully, and very well done
One of the best cover songs I've ever heard! And performed live... This is very interesting to watch how musicants play this composition. Just great!😊🎥🎬🙏🎧🎶
Found this super talented young lady through the NordicTrack commercial, lol. She (and her band mates) kills this song but she really kills it on the commercial’s version! Takes a real badazz to pull this song off imo! Hats off to you Jade! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Hate to tell you. This is actually a Australian song written by Geoff mack an Australian in1959 and first sung by lucky Starr in 1962 with Australian towns
Couple of things..... First, it's a beautiful cover.... But second, being that guy--this is a Hank Snow cover.... Third, I can't tell you how much I love that Jade included the song's preamble, about how the singer is a hitchhiker, telling a trucker about her life. For reasons almost certainly too moronic to dwell on, in Lynn Anderson's cover, she leaves out that part about the singer hitch hiking... But finally? It's a beautiful cover in the first place. Thank you.

omg girl your amazing I'm from England .and never hared you before but believe you me, I will download a lot from you . that's the best Johnny cash cover up iv ever hared.. I love you lol 😋
Absolutely love your version and know this song well, but Johnny's was a cover, times, well, about 10-fold. So you're kind of covering a cover of a cover. It's by a guy named "Mack" who also performed it first in his native Australia ten years earlier. Hank Snow also had a #1 hit with this American-geography version long before the Man in Black gave his signature rendition.
Written in 1959 by Australian artist Geoff Mack, it was a #1 hit by Hank Snow in the US during 1962. Johnny Cash recorded it in the mid-90s, but had probably performed it many times before that.
Her voice is just so incredible. When she goes up and gets that raspy thing going. Perfect.
Mr Cash would be proud and amazed at this. I love how the band are all smiling at Jade realizing how amazing she is. You have a new fan

I love her, but we also need to talk about the band. That drummer is great.
Johnny Cash is smiling in heaven. Knowing there's someone who has the same soul and passion of a singer and guitarist like him.
Love this version. It respect the song and original singer yet add just enough her own thing to make it unique to her. Love the energy she put into this song. she really did it justice.
the original is lucky Starr from Australia
I like how when she finishes, she talks in a southern accent for a split second. Country really does change you.
I really love the vibe of Jade Bird! She's amazing
She could make happy birthday sound good.
Yes!
Lisa Riendeau First time I heard her was on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show 4/18/2019 - she rocks!
NEW ALBUM!!!!!!!!
LOL...The way she ends with a laugh...Yeah! I've been everywhere". So cute.
I love this. You can see that she wants to kick it up an octave, but she holds back. It must be hard to rein in a voice that powerful...
That happens near the end, at 2:15

First time hearing. YT ad for Nordic track. Just had to hear the whole thing

I’m a J.R Cash fan from the way back. The originals. And you and yours absolutely own this. Best cover. The very best.

Nicely done, love the voice and guitar solo but I know this as a hank snow song. I believe he did it first.
@@tuffytuffy683 Hank Snow actually borrowed it from some Australian guy and changed the locations to the U.S.
Owen Tuffy he did his version was done in 62 and Johnny cash’s was done in 95
Jade Bird is fantastic. Best female artist in 10 years imo.
One of the best cover songs I've ever heard! And performed live... This is very interesting to watch how musicants play this composition. Just great!😊🎥🎬🙏🎧🎶
Jade Bird is amazing, no need to over elaborate, absolute boss. Fan for life.
This cover will NEVER get old. She killed it.
