Never lived near each other. Been long distance for 2.5 years. The plan for when marriage could come has moved so much, but we’re hoping end of next year. Which means engagement may come this year or at least beginning of next year. The only problem is that basically no one (besides my parents) supports us. Our goal is to go into full-time ministry and our families believe that we will not be able to financially thrive and thus we should wait for him to get his master’s and wait 3+ years to get married. Basically until we’re in our mid to late 20s. It’s really hard because we have a good relationship and we both are committed to not only marriage but our calling to ministry. But because it doesn’t seem financially “safe” and/or comfortable, we are told that we should wait a lot longer. So hard to know what to do.
I had a couple in my church who's parents did not accept their relationship. He wanted to go into ministry but in the asian culture we need security and that wasnt really accepted. In the end, they got married with little money and every day asked God to provide. And he did. If this is God's will, He will provide everything you need. He owns everything in this world.
One time when raising support for missions, I just trusted in God and met a random person at a bar and we ended up talking about missions. We said bye after 30 mins of talking and he donated $1000. God is so good. Just take it to God in prayer and be fully convinced of what God wants you to do.
Thank you for this encouragement. It’s hard to know whether we are being foolish by taking leaps of faith or wise by trusting that God will catch us. Definitely a hard one.

Me and my beloved are in a long distance relationship right now. She lives in the UK, and I'm In Colorado. We are hitting a rough patch right now where communication is scarce. She will be starting school at a university soon, and I know she will be very busy.
We do spend time on WhatsApp and video call. Just need prayers from brothers and sisters in Christ 🙏🏼

I'm in a long distance relationship with a gurl who is in a different country I get that they say visit often but right now I'm about to go to college and I don't have that financial strength to travel all the way overthere I'm still living with My parents and she is losing feelings, losing faith, and having doubts that it will lead to marriage but My intentions are genuine towards her and I'm not playing around I try to reassure her but she said I should give her space. I really love her and I just pray she believes in what God has in store for us, she's a woman of God and I'm 18 and she's 18 about to be 19 soon. I don't know what to do atp. We are 7 months in and i feel like its draining and i try to always keep it active and fun but its like she's going through a personal thing. I just want her to not put so much pressure in marriage and quick stuffs bc long distance relationship is by far the best way to truly test the love, get intimate and get to know the person on a deeper level i know for sure I will marry her and meet her she just needs to pray to God and seek He's guidance leaning on your understanding will not do any good. So any help? Or advice?

My boyfriend and I met this summer at a camp we both were counselors at. I’m an officer in the Army and I start Active Duty this Sunday. I’ll be in South Carolina and he’ll be in Ohio until November. After November, I’m getting deployed to Qatar for a year (I should be able to come home around the 5-6 month mark for a visit!). Distance is something we talked about before we decided to start dating, so we’ve tried to prepare, but honestly nothing has really gotten us ready to be this far apart. I did not expect to me in relationship going into this next stage of my life, but now I wouldn’t change it! It’s so scary to think about what the next year will bring us but I know everything will work out the way God has it planned. Thank you again for this video! You guys are awesome 😊

The guy that I'm interested in, his work schedule as a Registered Nurse would conflict with my work hours at my job so we could never see each other so what do you do when the work schedules conflict with each other and never get to see each other as a result?

This video was great and so relatable! I would love to hear about your marriage and how the marriage part came to be from the long distance. I recently moved states. Before I left, this guy I worked with (who had become a good friend of mine) confessed his feelings for me and I had been crushing on him too so we spent a lot of time together before I left. And the way he pursued me and treated me in that short time showed me he’s the kind of guy I’ve always dreamt of. So long story short we fell in love as I left and have continued falling in love for 9 months now. Recently we had our own break, the Lord told me to do this, but now God told me he is in fact my husband but it’s in His timing. My love and I are just confused on our next steps. We obviously want to be living in the same place but as a Christian, I know that we can’t live together until marriage. However, we feel like we should be spending more time together living in the same place before marriage. To do that in God’s will, that would require us living separately which will be almost impossible financially. It’s just a tough situation and I don’t know how to transition. I am seeking God’s will but some Christian advice would be really helpful!
Hey girl, I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! It sounds really similar to our dating experience too! Nick moved closer to me and actually lived with my grandma, and then in our basement for a little bit (I don’t recommend though, that was hard for us) but God ended up providing him a job and he moved in with some other guys and rented a room, which ended up being a great deal! That would be my encouragement to you, start looking for places that are renting just a room, it’s financially smart and won’t lead you guys to be tempted to move in together before marriage (trust me that’s a huge lie from the devil that I fell for in a past relationship and it destroyed me) praying for you both! God will provide🙏🏻

Ahh I teared up a lot during this 🥺❤️😭 great advice guys. My boyfriend and I are two hours away, just long enough where we can't see eachother more than once a week, if that. And it is hard. But he's been there for me and reliable and steadfast during the past two years where so many hard things have happened.

Well I’d say you guys need to talk about it if you’re struggling. That’s a hard situation. Personally I can’t see my boyfriend for more than 2 days a few months out of the year so…I’d kill to be able to have the setup you do but I know it can be hard either way. Spend time in the Word too!
I’ve been dating my boyfriend for 4 months. We are 2 hours away. Things are hard right now because he doesn’t have a car- he had a car in the beginning but his car died couple of times ago when he was going to take me home.
