I liked the after burner cleaning out the pipes! Good for it like that. Clean now. 👍 No need for Mary Poppins' Bert and chimney sweep crew! Good stuff! I'll urge my older brother to watch the last couple vids about the double barrel that went awry.
plus it sounded like a jet engine on take off too. sad that the old stove would not burn out the chimney. we are the learning channel so more people the better thansk
Good job making that new wood burner that works better than your double barrel. With temps down in below freezing temps you need a decent wood burning heater. Thanks for the video
Good morning from Cape Cod ⛵ it looks like you put a great effort and got that stove going, I'm glad to see it burning nicely at the end of the video. 33 ° this morning and I'm glad it's back to your customary cold temperatures so you can have fun with the trains ✌️🇺🇲🇨🇦
Xena did a awesome job with the mini hole pushing the wood buckets up to the front I like your wood drum burning it turned out awesome too thank you for the video
Morning from Gagetown, excellent job on the stove today, looks great and I’m glad it’s working so good for you. Hope everyone has a really great day 🇨🇦🇺🇸🍺
Good evening or is it morning now 🤔😂. Long day over here. Chores, worked in town, came home, packed wood, realized i forgot drinking water, back to town, bought water, dog food, and some treats for us. Got back, did chores and then i ended up in the shop servicing a chain saw. Now watch you, then go to bed and do it all over again. Oh yeah, and it's -30. 7 days from now they are telling us it will be plus 5. Nuts
Hi Joey. I've had my Hobart handler for about eight years. Same one as yours. All this time I thought I had to have the cone thing on the end of the torch. I thought the flux produced gas and the cone thing captured the gas from the flux to produce a better weld. Now without the cone thing, I can see the weld better and my welds are better. Thank you Joey. Darn nice job on the barrel stove. You're the man.💯 Of course I'm talking about flux-core wire. I'm too damn cheap to buy the expensive gas.
thank you, i am learning that you don't need the tip right in to the puddle area. some are saying back about 1/2" to act like a preheat of the wire as it is coming towards the puddle. we are all learning every day. thansk
Great work building the new stove Joey - I’m glad for you that you now have reliable and steady heat - happy new year to you and Xena and thank you for the learning and entertaining videos - it’s nice to know you read and respond to every single comment - cheers
thank you, the comments must be replied to because it is part of learning. also other people read the comments and learn too. happy new years too thansk
Awesome video,,, old propane tanks make really good wood stoves also,,you take a large out door tank,,makes an awesome stove,,of coarse,,,fully purged of any fuel
Nice to see the stove is working well. Have deviated from the “ basic” myself and yes they are a friggin p_ssoff. Amazing how a simple barrel will throw off so much heat, and burning “garbage” wood! Keep on.
3rd at 3 minutes. 12:05 AM Eastern, late tonight. Judging by the flames coming right out the top of the chimney pipe, I'd say your chimney was loaded w/ creosote. OH WELL, there I said it and I feel better. Glad to see the new barrel stove was roaring! That'll heat it up! OK King, tnx for the nap. ben/ michigan
Hello. Recently ran across your videos. Enjoying them a lot. Thank you. When I saw the Linn tractors, I remembered meeting a guy with an interest in them, a lot of years ago when I was a truck driver. We had dropped off our loads (there were two of us on this trip) at Lynn Lake, Manitoba air port. Got a return load from this same fellow. He was just south of Lynn Lake, I believe he loaded us with salvage from the mine there. This would have been 1999-2004. Looks like to me, it could have been you! Nice to see you're retired and still having fun. I would include a picture of out trip, but don't think I have any. Take care, you and the 'Staff".
Great job. Hope you'll be toasty warm in there from now on. But I hear the Swedish Kid is not happy because you didn't invite her to cut the ribbon and do the first burn. "How dare you!" she said.
I have a 100 gallon stove oil barrel I use as a burn barrel makeshift hinged door on one end hole cut in the opposite end that's covered with expanded metal .. keeps creepy night creatures out .. had it cherry red .. very cool stove you put together nothing like a good controlled fire
i wished we had saved a few of those fuel oil tanks over the years. but we did not even save the heavy duty barrels either. i think the next stove will be a fuel oil style thansk
It's rare for my projects to finish in a timely fashion. Retirement mode is great, don't let the boss drive you too hard. Xena, do you have any Pi-tarmigan hanging around? 😎👍
Wow does that burner work good. Nice fabrication job too! Stay warm, now Wisconsin is getting the cold blast too, not as cold as there though. Take care, Rick Waiting for the big twin pull.
You were burning the canel late but sometimes things are important to be done and the king alwayes gets shit done . No dust on your boots the new generation would still be looking at the project but the king gets his shit done man of the year in the north .
Looks like a good stove! I bought a sawdust burning stove for my workshop…. What a piece of junk, it would smoulder away chucking smoke out then if it ignited into flames it would blow the doors off.! I would be walking around the workshop looking for the Frikin parts that was missing of it. 😆
King Joey that stove looks warm. Was that flames coming out the top of the stove pipe ? Princess Xena looks like you did a great job picking the wood . 😊
I have had a Hobart handler 135 for 20 years, it's been a great machine and so easy to use. The only time I've had problems with the wire feeding is when it gets down like yours did towards the last little bit of the spool. What are you using for stove pipe, schedule 80 Black Iron or something?
good to here, i think the wire is wrapped so tight it is hard to pull off. not sure the thickness but it cam from the mine and over 1/8" thick i think thansk
Nothing like a warm shop on a cold day.
yes finished just in time too thansk
Hello Joey and Zena, you guys are awesome
thank you, just acting normal thansk
Hello, glad you enjoy the videos.
Xena
And the stove pipe is straight as an arrow again, yay!
yes right back where we started before going new and improved thansk
Good video I want to make a new wood stove for my kitchen like that but I want to make a metal shelf on top so I can cook
yes we have a smaller one in the caboose with a flat top for cooking and melting snow for water thansk
Nice job on the new stove. That chimney fire was something to see! Kinda sad that now you won't be ranting about the old stove.
yes right back where we started and first fire to clean out the chimney because the old stove could not do it. thansk
I liked the after burner cleaning out the pipes!

Nice heater Skeeter ⚡
thank you, it works too thansk
Good job making that new wood burner that works better than your double barrel. With temps down in below freezing temps you need a decent wood burning heater. Thanks for the video
yes we made it just in time to keep the shop warm. which means we are right back where we started over a year ago with a barrel stove thansk
Good morning from Cape Cod ⛵ it looks like you put a great effort and got that stove going, I'm glad to see it burning nicely at the end of the video. 33 ° this morning and I'm glad it's back to your customary cold temperatures so you can have fun with the trains ✌️🇺🇲🇨🇦
yes it was a long day but it had to get done and we are right back where we started over a year ago because new and improved did not work. thansk
Xena did a awesome job with the mini hole pushing the wood buckets up to the front I like your wood drum burning it turned out awesome too thank you for the video
the staff handles everything with no drama thansk
Thank you.
Xena
Hell of a job on the stove build.
yes and did it in one day which was a little much for an old guy thansk
Morning from Gagetown, excellent job on the stove today, looks great and I’m glad it’s working so good for you. Hope everyone has a really great day 🇨🇦🇺🇸🍺
thank you, it was a long day then got very cold but we did it thansk
Proper flames out of the chimney Joey .
Well done Xena,,,your firewood tub shepherding skills with the mini hoe are to be commended.
Yah, that was pretty slick handling X😎👍
yes it was a long day but we got it done thansk
Good job on stove king❤
thank you, it was a long day thansk
THAT is how you impress the Swedish lady! Get a cat to flame up the stack like such and she might even drop by someday, eh? 😅
yes the Swedish Kid like all ladies like anything flashy, lol thansk
Good job Joey glad you made some overtime on that job.
yes so my over time can be taken in cdn taxes, lol thansk
Glad u got the new stove built looks good. Stay warm
will do and just in time for the cold weather too thansk

yes that is a long day and most people in the new world will not do that. strange how it warms up then cold again thansk
God Bless You people that live amongst those temperatures...
Should've gotten Brad to turn the spool as you weld 😂 😅
yes but he would have likely turned it the wrong way, lol thansk
Howdy 🤠 from the Northwoods of Minnesota all
This should be an interesting one. Excellent job, like usual 👍
it was a long day to go right back where we started over a year ago thansk
Haha i love it!! Whrn you said Stoves workin good! As flames shoot out of chimney pipe! 😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
the old stove design was not burning hot enough to clean out the chimney and the new stove on the first burn did it thansk

thank you, we are right back where we started over a year after trying the new improved stoves, lol thansk
Nice to see the stove is working well. Have deviated from the “ basic” myself and yes they are a friggin p_ssoff. Amazing how a simple barrel will throw off so much heat, and burning “garbage” wood! Keep on.
yes new and improved is not always better. nice finally have heat again thansk
Some times over time is what it takes WELL DONE 🙃🙃🙃🙃
yes, get it done and relax later thansk
Super happy that you built and finished your new wood stove, Joey. You did very well. Congrats on your hard work!
thank you, the hard part was staying sober enough, lol thansk

oh my you stayed up late like me, lol thansk
@@kingofobsolete4789 NBD, it was only 11pm your time.
Nice work!
thank you thansk
Chimney fires can be good and could be bad...nice stove!!
yes they can be, the old stove would never clean out the chimney for some reason thansk
@@kingofobsolete4789 could if been a draft issue
Great job on the wood stove . We're finally gonna get some snow around here this weekend into next week.
thank you, snow is good for you guys with it being added moisture thansk
Excellento 😊

NICE WORK
thank you, had to do it to stay warm thansk
Good work on the stove. Don't have to worry about chimney fires with schedule 40 pipe as a chimney
2nd attempt at replying. yes mine pipe works the best thansk
I thought the flashing light at the end was your bug zapper. You know for those winter skeeters.
yes the ones that wear their knitted sweater from grandma to stay warm, lol thansk

thank you for joining us. most like that was us way back then and still living the same life but more enjoyable being retired thansk
Great job. Hope you'll be toasty warm in there from now on. But I hear the Swedish Kid is not happy because you didn't invite her to cut the ribbon and do the first burn. "How dare you!" she said.
yes right back where we started. oh well the Swedish Kid will never be happy, lol thansk
Life is so freaking expensive up there! Almost a $1.80 per litre for gas!! 😱
yes and $27.00 for a small chicken too. oh well we chose to live here thansk
Looks great excellent guys 😊
it was well worth the extra work and beverage thansk
Verry excellent cheers 🥂 guys

Nice job making the stove!!

Minus 30 here this morning at 6AM

It's rare for my projects to finish in a timely fashion. Retirement mode is great, don't let the boss drive you too hard. Xena, do you have any Pi-tarmigan hanging around? 😎👍

Wow does that burner work good.
Nice fabrication job too!
Stay warm, now Wisconsin is getting the cold blast too, not as cold as there though.
Take care,

Waiting for the big twin pull.
yes right back where we started with a simple barrel stove. going fancy with a double barrel was a waste of time thansk
You were burning the canel late but sometimes things are important to be done and the king alwayes gets shit done . No dust on your boots the new generation would still be looking at the project but the king gets his shit done man of the year in the north .
that is true, the New Hire Brad is never around unless it is pay day or free beer, lol thansk
My original innocuous comment got deleted and I'm too tired to think how to speak in code.
Stayin Tuned! 👍🤠 🇺🇸
oh my, bad boy bad boy, what are we going to do with you, lol thansk
Looks good, glad you got it finished, lots of welding, 👍🚜
yes we got it done because it got really cold last night thansk
Looks like a blow torch chimney, plenty of heat, now for shop projects
yes working good now thansk
Looks like a good stove!
