- Detailed information about the Crank Shaft in Royal Enfield Bullet | क्रैंक शाफ़्ट क्या होता है?
A crankshaft is a shaft driven by a crank mechanism, consisting of a series of cranks and crankpins to which the connecting rods of an engine is attached. It is a mechanical part able to perform a conversion between reciprocating motion and rotational motion.
Old Royal Enfield Standard 350's specifications - 346cc Single Cylinder, Air-cooled, 4-stroke, contact breaker, cast iron engine with 18 hp @ 5625 rpm and has 32 Nm @ 3000 rpm of torque with right side 4-speed gears and gives mileage of around 27 to 34 KMPL.

Few points to be noted:
I personally prefer light crank bullets for 2 reasons :
Overtaking in 2 lane highways with heavy crank is quite risky, but for the light crank ones it's easy;
I can cruise at around 90kmph comfortably on a light crank, whereas in heavy crank ones it's around 70kmph.
Also crank conversions have been going on for a long time. Many bikes with converted heavy cranks have completed thousands of kilometers effortlessly, I guess it depend upon the mechanic!

The Cast iron standard and Electra (2009 and earlier) came with 10-10.4kg apprx crank weight. The army bullets came with 8kg crank (as the UCE Classic). The present Es Bullet, Classic 350, Thunderbird 350 have 8+ kg (apprx) cranks (UCE models). The present Standard comes with 10+kg ones (same as 500 Standard/Classic)
Electra which have self start have lighter cranks

I own 2008 4s electra and I've seen the crank it wasn't as thick as standard baaki to Ram jaane am not sure about the weight
@@Enfield-Forever you're right....even I get confused a lot of time. Every bike has a slight difference in crank weights. Even though both are same models. Jaise machismo aya tha AVL engine k sath uska thoda alag ha, Thunderbird 2009 tak k models me alag the.
