The old footage and music put me back 50 years and my carefree life in the late 60s growing up in the Imperial Kingdom of Iran. I loved Bobby Fischer and his primitive badassery combined with his genius and talent, a series of great American gifts to mankind in the 20th century.

No computers or inflated ELO ratings in those days, Just pure ability and talent mixed with lots and lots of training and memorizing what they had remembered form chess book as well as analysis of each others games. After Karpov it all changed and all the grafting had been done for Kasparov and others after him.
