Rap has become mostly about the production and beat rather than back then where lyrics, flow, and beat mattered. You can literally repeat the same word over and over and it will become a hit. Real Albums don’t exist anymore and certainly don’t tell stories. Rap music is now the mainstream and will be replaced by another genre in 5-10 years. Just as Rock was replaced by Rap.
