Back in 1974 when I was just 5 years old during the super outbreak, my house was directly hit by an F5 tornado. Put me in a coma for 3 days. Just to clarify, a "tornado" is an on the ground vortex, if it is just in the sky and not touching the ground, it is called a "funnel cloud", not a tornado.

I think tornado ally has went north right to IL you guys have had your share of storms. I know because I live in Grand Rapids. I watch Chicago weather it most likely is coming our way next. I think the big lake helps us until winter and it dumps snow on us 😂

I live close to chicago, how did I not notice any tornadoes-
Everything’s fine where I live. There are a bit of trees that have fallen.
A tornado is relatively small in size, it's not a hurricane.
I wouldnt call fallen trees "fine," especially if anything was next to it 😂
