a lot of people are curious as to why he stalls clearing a line at several points in the match: the garbage queue can only hold 12 lines of garbage at max. he's already got 12 lines queued, so any additional lines sent to him essentially evaporate into thin air. these players have the ability to set up attacks that can accumulate 50+ lines at a time, but if you play with good defense and survival tactics, you can essentially cap any player's attack at 12 lines. of course if an attacker notices, they can counter that by stalling to send more lines until after your piece has set. but one thing that makes Doremy and these players virtually impossible to kill, is that they can consistently defend themselves with a combo of their own. so long as you are consecutively clearing lines (a combo), queued garbage will not be released into your board until you set a piece that doesn't clear a line

Yeah, Amemiya just kinda wins 70% (?) of the time they managed to clash. But Amemiya is still better than Doremy and Roy in that regard since his winning percentage is higher than these two.
I've played 1 k and have 10 wins. It's ok. You just gotta find the rhythm and keep at it. Dont think I got my first win until 6 or 7 so dont worry you'll do fine.
