It takes a humble man to share the spot light and recognize those that played a role in his position. High quality work from high quality guys. Keep up the good work. Cheers
dont know if anyone gives a damn but if you're stoned like me atm then you can watch all of the new series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my brother these days xD
You “Europeans “ have really inspired those of us in the states!! Building my front 10” sub in a 2019 mustang GT right now!!! Peter, those of us who have been in my case, in and out of the industry, appreciate what you have to say!! Thank you!
Hey this is a great birthday present.....Peter and Lee in a video together! Love you guys and I appreciate all you do for the car audio community. You, my friends, have some great patience! They knowledge you share with us, omg, so many would have killed to have this 25 years ago! Thank you again!
I love your videos. When you upload a video you make my day better. Awesome tweak for the woofer, you blew my mind. Thanks for your videos, they are the best. Greetings from Spain.
I believe you when you say you hate door builds... I've been chasing rattles to no end! Kill one rattle, and find another! Love watching your videos it gives me ideas, keep up the great content.
I wish I wasn't so far away. I would love to hear what that sounds like when you are finished. I enjoy builds that aren't quite the norm and this one falls into that category :)
Stunning sail panel pods, looks like I have some work to do, my door speakers will definitely need some additional help. But will get some tone mp3/cd to assist in locating rattles. 💯 knowledge as always
All that sanding was worth it. Great looking pods. Would aluminum reinforced bondo have the same affect or is the steelshot much heavier or dense maybe?
What do you use to protect the speaker from teh outside elements? The rain guard that is under the speaker in the floor. Hopefully you'll see this or someone will and could link me to what it is. I love the idea of IB to the outside of the car and would be great for a sub woofer in a spare tire well. Thanks for any help, cheers!
Peter I got a question: when you seal the car cabin, what do you do with the various air "vents" in the chasis? I mean there are air vents everywhere connecting cabin to the outside and to the trunk. In the kicks and in the C-pillars especially. I'm going to build my first SQ-ish build in our family car and I'm afraid preventing the air circulation would be dangerous (causing the cabin to overheat in the sun, suffocating when you don't have the air conditioning turned on)... Since I'll be making this car for a daily driver car, I'm afraid I'll sacrifice the practicality of the car for the long journeys or family trips, and on the other hand since I'm making an infinite baffle sub, I would pretty much like to seal off all the slots and ports. Just wanna know your expert view on this specific subject since I haven't found any solid information on the net. . Very nice video btw, thanks for sharing!
The secret is you must speak with a foreign accent be smug and like the smell of your own farts, picture the guy from Silence of the Lambs when he talks about fava beans. South Park did a good one on smug. Yea that what the rest of us think of SQ. Keep up the good work Peter.
I really don’t understand people that appreciate the hobby and do not appreciate the science that goes into speaker development..I used to be a huge fan of the Auto-hifi magazines they used to do really good testing and you could find awesome gems like the emphaser xt3 series really good bang for the buck..These days we can be happy that there are still brands investing in Auto hifi and developing speakers and amps..because the scene has become a lot smaller..
The car audio industry is full of so much misinformation and shitty products that understanding the Science to some degree is almost a necessity to avoid spending my money on crap. If you go into your typical shop many of those people don't even know. May have never even heard of a Klippel machine or what an anechoic chamber is. Maybe my expectations are a little to high. But considering what you are paying for some of these component sets I don't think its to much to ask. We have objective solid science on what speaker performance is and how it should measure. If the people selling the speakers have no idea about that that is a problem.
Awesome info, i've tried a similar thing on a BMW F30 for HAT Legatia L8SE Carbons... while i wen't over my "fear" for water by using rain guard ... i could not stand the wind noise/driving/tires noise (over 60-70 km/h ) it was sounding like the car is not "insulated" or such like a lower tier car (not that f30 is very well insulated but still). Did you ever had this issue? Second question is, this thing needs to be completely sealed from the interior of the car? or a large/sturdy enough baffle it's enough/taking account the carpet that will cover the rest? Keep up the awesome work!
Crismariu Gabriel you only need isolation between in-/outside. If the cone is too thin, then it can raise noise levels coming through yepp, then you could play with aperiodic membrane too.
You make use GZMW with neo magnets. 165 or 200 mm 🤷🏻♂️. And many another models for car Ground Zero GZCS 200BMW-SW4, Eton UG MB 195 L, BLAM MB 200 W, Audio System AX 08 BMW PLUS EVO
This is a homebrew material. Made from resin, mixed with some kind of powder. Different powder give slightly different characteristics, but all of them give a very good strength. You may use metal powder or fiberglass poder or wood dust...

@Kaysen Emanuel Yup, I've been using instaflixxer for years myself :)

Have been in this since 1983!!!
I’m glad you find the content inspirational! 😉
It feels so good on the brain to get a daily dose of Pssound 😌
Brilliant..two guys that have the same passion working together on a build..😎 great video.

Great to see the 1%ers. In an industry catering so much to the kiddie trade, it’s great to be inspired by true professionals.
Thank you! We’re trying to spread the word! 🔊🔊

Hi Lee, nice to see you in the South of England. Great work guys !
Excellent job guys!
I'm really enjoying your videos Peter! Keep them coming!

Awesome ideas. Love the rapid drop videos! 👍👍👍
another great video peter
Great info from good guys

Colby Dolby possibly, not familiar with it.

Frank Can Do It go to the true IB playlist and you’ll find a video to for protection.
Nice install
Nice video again. Good to put a face to the sandpaper already. 😂
lekvaroskilincs 🤣🤣
Are you using bird shot?
Remember to show us what kind of resonance there is between floor and roof. i had bass under seats and i got high peak at 180hz
м that peak can be due to many things, but it’s rather due to the room mode of the cabin. Deadening the roof wouldn’t change much in that respect.
@@pssound9749 your honda has best solution, it's dash out.
м yeah do that on a project like this that needs to be complete in a week! 😂

Ali Mahdavi i just make sure they don’t flap and make horrible noise, but keep them open.
@@pssound9749 Thanks peter. I just wanna know what do SQ'ers do with the air circulation on a competition level? Do they ditch it all?
Good stuff
Do you run that with opposite polarity?
Yes.
im thinkn of buildind a sound bar to go across where the windshield meets the dash. 2.5 or 3in drivers. what r ur thoughts on such a thing?
Reeferdog Bassin you just need a pair of mids/widebands to do that, just put them in the corners. 👌
@@pssound9749 Thanks P. Really appreciate ur vids. No one else goes in depth like u do!

What driver is that installed in the floor work in the last part of the video?
Matt Nucci Micro Precision 5 series.

Peter whats the name brand of the ib midbass driver
Dennis Walker Micro Precision, German stuff.
What is the trade name of milkshake? If I go to a building supply store and ask for milkshake they gonna look at me weird.
This is a homebrew material. Made from resin, mixed with some kind of powder. Different powder give slightly different characteristics, but all of them give a very good strength. You may use metal powder or fiberglass poder or wood dust...
Oh the main question is are they ib only
Dennis Walker they have high Qts, so they need air, ideally in a door air apace if you can’t do mad installation like this.
👌
Even shit tier installers (compared to what you guys do) have an attitude when you ask them about some specific things.
