Your work no matter the medium you work in is glorious! I have been painting, sewing and doing all manner of art and needle work thanks to my dear Mother and my MeMe who was my Grandmother. They taught me all of it. My work pales in comparison to yours. You have inspired me in many ways and I now have a plethora of ideas. I've been watching non-stop and enjoying every second of it. I was so pleased to see you are doing crewel work. I bought a lot of crewel wool from a charity shop hoping I would be able to use it to actually make a crewel picture. I only used it here and there, mixing my threads like you taught us to do. So excited to do a whole piece with it. Already downloaded your free pattern , thank you. That was a real treat, Marion. Crewel work always seemed too specialized for me to consider trying, but you make it appear totally possible. Thanks for the tip about splitting tapestry wool - I have some of that that a lady once gave me. I did a small tapestry but still have loads left,so now I have another way of using it. I love the look of crewel work. It has been on my embroidery bucket list for some time, but I don't have any crewel wool on hand so I never seem to get going on it. Thank you for sharing your lovely pattern and showing us the piece you are stitching with stranded floss. I also do beadwork, so I adore the way Hazel adds beads to her crewel work. I saw another one of Hazel Blomkamp's books, called Crewel Twists, on the Internet Archive Digital Library. It's a great place to check out a book digitally to see if you want to buy it or to be able to access books that are no longer in print. Your embroidery plan for your beautiful coat sounds amazing and I am looking forward to more updates on your progress with that.

TY for posting this! I love crewel work, have long wanted to do some kinda simple, meandering design going up the outside of a pair of pants. I should try to make the design soon. I also want some palm trees at the outside bottom of some blue jeans. I better learning to do this! TY for showing us.

Dear Marion, I can only add to what others have said-your informative, straightforward videos and calm style help me feel I can do it and stitches and styles of embroidery that have seemed too complicated for me suddenly seem much simpler.
