  • Much of this popular table game, particularly at advanced levels goes by in the blink of an eye. With the help of high speed cameras I slow down some of our favorite shots to 1/6 their normal speed. I hope this helps spread appreciation for the game and renews others interest in one of my favorite obsessions.

Your snake shots rotates past 360 degrees. Wouldn't that be considered an illegal move?

These aren't "my shots" but ones collected from players I regularly played against. IIRC, a "spin" is defined as rotating the rod more than 360° before striking the ball, or more than 360° after striking the ball. If you are referring to the "windmill" shot, yeah, he may have gone too far, but I was recording demonstration shots, and that shot was from Joe Blaha, who passed away recently. Sadly, Joe suffered with a kidney disorder since birth requiring multiple dialysis per week. He loved foosball, and all of us knew how he truly suffered, and what it took for him to even make a tournament. I doubt we would have called a spin on Joe had we ever noticed, though to his credit, Joe would call them on himself. Joe was a wonderful reminder that foosball was invented for wounded soldiers who could no longer play the sport they loved. Thanks for noticing.

Great idea but really bad camera angles (IMO). I think it would be better if you did an overhead camera shot.

Yeah, I thought of that but getting the camera suspended above required gear i did not have. I also wanted to show from the table deck that the ball actually takes flight during certain shots, rather than rolling along the surface. I'll try to shoot some passing series from above to show good wall and lane brush and stick passes soon.

Seriously? Nice song?? That's what you comment on?! This computer generated "song" is garbage!! You REALLY need to get out and listen to...ANYTHING other than TH-cam tutorial, filler noise!! How bout start with some Zeppelin, Floyd, Seager, Elton...then move on to Queens of the Stone age, White Stripes and then finally TOOL!! Then you can comment on those songs!!
