This is what seeing Dashboard for the first time was like in 2002. I am glad this is still happening. In fact, this crowd looks even more intense. I love it.

First of all, it’s all my interpretation I believe this is one of the best records of all time because of the lyrics. I’ve never heard a record trying to deal with a friends death in this way. Of course with the sadness but also the shame of ditching the funeral and the self doubt about if you truly were there for the person. The guilt about not always being there. The anger about the fact that the person left even though you really did your best trying to help them. The fear of standing in the ER not knowing what to do. The problems of having to deal with your own mental health at the same time. The memories and the what-could-have-been’s, the analysis of what went wrong in the persons life and how we’re sometimes incapable of caring for each other. The acceptance that some things are out of our hands. And finally the ending with the picture of a tombstone with the inscription “tell me again that it’s all in my head”. And then the strumming from the intro comes back, now in a different key, and it all starts over again. It truly is a masterpiece.
I play in a small band that has had the privilege of sharing a bill with The Hotelier several times. I can't speak enough to the character of these individuals. Such incredible dudes.

i'm so fuckin pumped to see them play this album in february for their anniversary tour. i just really got into music sometime between the summer and fall of last year and home, like noplace is there was one of the first albums i fell in love with. i genuinely thought i would never be able to see them live and watching this would be the closest thing to that that i would be able to do. even knowing i'm gonna see them, this video is one of my favorites on youtube. thanks for filming and posting this set in full.

i love how since the album has that crowd cheering/chanting effect on certain parts of the vocals, when they play it live it sounds just like the album, like they’re recreating it in person
I recently discovered this band and I am still in shock at how astonishing their live performance is. I thought PBTT was emotional but this is incredibly heartfelt by far more passionate than any other band I've seen.

They are going on tour for the East Coast this November, and the rest of the US in February 2024. I'll be at both LA & SD, might even take a weekday off from work to hit the Santa Ana show too for the Sat/Sun/Tues combo haha
Damn, this is less than a year after the album came out, can only imagine how electric this would be if they did it now that this album has been cemented as one of the best revival albums.
