1. You can't say that the proof of god is something can't come from nothing because where did god come from?
2. Evolution created "morals' because it was the best way to survive. Not murdering someone is better than murdering someone.
Before I start I want to state that I am not trying to be rude or start an argument but felt the need to say this response to your post.
1. This is not a problem with the Abrahamic God as the Christian God is stated to be eternal with no beginning and no end and we know matter and energy is eternal as well. the reason why that is stated as proof of God is that we know the universe had a beginning when eternal things do not need to have a beginning. So since the universe had a beginning the question should be asked what caused the universe to begin and the only real two options that are presented is that numbers created the universe which is to say it came from nothing, or something intelligent created the universe.
2. Actually Evolution is the 'Survival of the fittest'. in other words the purpose presented to all living things in eveolution is essentially survive and pass on genetic code. under this a lot of things that are seen as ethically wrong would be allowed such as if killing someone to improve your position and a higher rank in the evolutionary chain would be acceptable. even rape with the intention of passing on your genetic code would be considered okay by evolutionary standards, as well as stealing from people to improve yourself. there is a lot of moral things that the theory of evolution doesn't explain yet everyone considers 'wrong' for the most part.

1. No one truly knows where the universe was created, could've been god, or not; but there are a lot of scientific theories and some of them do indeed state matter has always existed, but some don't.
2. I think I worded this wrong. What I was saying is from evolution our brains have gotten smarter and been able to develop their own view of what's right and wrong, so maybe while morals don't come precreated in the brain they are easily developed because of our highly intellegent brain.
Your welcome I don't see why we can't be civil in these discussions and that there are people on both sides who just yell as that doesn't help anything.
As for your response I think it is good to have differing views on these issues but if you want to see some people argue from the christian side of things I would reccomen people like Lee Strobbel, Ravi Zacharias, John Lennox, William Lane Craig, Habermas and I could give you more names if you want.

Tell me 1 person who has not done bad even if it’s as small as taking a sibling pencil
Because all sins are horrible against god because for example if you do wrong against your sibling you will not get punished as much as if you did wrong towards your parents. Now scale that authority to the supreme authority, with a supreme authority we deserve a supreme punishment which is hell. Since god knows we all deserve hell so he sent himself in the form of a human (Jesus Christ) to save us by believing he died for our sins and repenting.

God is perfect in every way and you can’t get into the kingdom of heavens with getting judged because god is perfect and he can’t have imperfection among him. That’s why Jesus died so that our sins can be washed away and we will be perfect. It’s true you don’t have to listen to god or believe what I said because he gives you free will, but the punishment for that is eternal suffering in hell. If someone killed my mother I wouldn’t even think of wishing hell on them because it is a terrible place and I don’t want you and others going there. We judge out of love, does a parent not judge their kid when they are doing something wrong. They do and that’s to better them and for their own good.

I met a Christian man very much like the one in this video. He asked me, "Are you an atheist"? I said yes. He asked me a lot of.the questions posed in this video based around evolution and morality and the creation of the universe.
As to the creation of the universe; I simply said "We have a pretty well founded theory as to how the universe and (subsequently) life was created, but we don't have the full answer yet. Just because Christians have God as their answer doesn't make it right, it just makes it an answer".
Obviously, he had a time to process that and replied "Because God IS the true answer, and the Big Bang is just a cockamamie theory".
I had to catch my bus at that time, but I did reply with "Well, maybe God isn't the answer because who created him? Himself? That seems a bit far-fetched and egotistical, even for God. At least scientists are actually trying to find a logical and rational answer to how the universe came about."
All-in-all, he was pretty polite and didn't get loud like the guy in this video. I just wish I could've heard his answer.
How do you create God? He's God!
Basically, there are two choices that match the existing scientific evidence for how life began, how life developed, how the universe began to exist, etc.... Evolutionism or Creationism.
There is no scientific reason to believe Evolutionism over Creationism, as all observations presented to support Evolutionism could be interpreted to support Creationism instead.
If you'd like to claim your side of the debate is better supported by science (which Evolutionists tend to assume), provide ONE observation of anything that works for Evolutionism but not Creationism. There aren't any.
I could provide plenty for the other way around. Like the soft tissue found in supposedly "ancient" dinosaur bones.
Or the recent breakthroughs in Microbiology of extremely complex machine-like structures which cannot be explained by undirected processes like in Evolutionism and clearly require design with purpose.
And many more.
@@lightbeforethetunnel This is a very well-put answer and I believe Creationism over Evolutionism for many reasons, one being called "The theories" Science itself provides many theories for how the universe could be made, but Creationism gives us a direct answer, and not only a direct answer, a logical one. I always ask Atheists why they believe in Evolution, and they say "Because Creationism is too far-fetched" then I ask them to provide one reason it's far-fetched.
They never answered back.
Evolution theories are far-fetched and not logical or rational. Science is from God. Evolutionism is not real science. It is basically a desperate attempt to explain everything without a creator.
"Who created God" is a strawman argument (nonsensical question) because the Christian God has no cause.
The Christian God is hypothesized to be the cause of the beginning of the universe. That would make God the cause for why all time, space, and matter began to exist... so God would necessarily have to be timeless, spaceless, and immaterial in order to be able to do that.
Given that the cause of the universe is timeless, the cause cannot itself have a beginning. To have a beginning to one’s existence entails a before and after relationship. There’s a time before one existed and a time after one came into existence. But a before and after of anything is impossible without time. Since the cause existed sans time, the cause, therefore, cannot have a beginning. It’s beginningless.

It is ashame that Mr. Comfort would lie to the interviewee's face and tell the guy that the guy does believe in God while the guy is saying that he doesn't believe. The guy was being unfront an seemingly honest the whole time, he admitted to lying, stealing, etc. and Mr. Comfort believed him (and so did i)... but when it can to the guy's belief in God, Mr. Comfort refused to take the guy at his word because Mr. Comfort seems to know of know good way to demonstrate God's existence, so he just lies about the other guy's feelings and beliefs.
I hope this tactic is not used going forward in ANY discussions: religion, politics, philosophy, etc. Anyone one can simply claim things like, "You know evolution (or any given thing that can be believed) is true, it is written in your consciousness, you are just denying it".

It's very hard to have a debate about something or to even call it a debate when you don't have evidence in every aspect of your side. Personally the Big bang sounds much more realistic to me. The Bible could have been written by anyone, and changed through times. By this I'm not saying that big bang theory can be trusted 100%, but it seems much more possible, easier, and realistic to believe in, we have scientists that are bringing out really good points, as well on the other side we have Christians or any other religion that has stable community that's been passing on their respected beliefs for a very long time. So maybe this shouldn't be called a debate.

But until it's 100% proven it can't be called a fact. And btw I'm sorry if I'm not making sense, still working on my English. But I believe that it happened and that we aren't the only ones that the Big bang happened to.

I wish he'd actually debate against people who knew what they were talking about. Every single one of his questions could be argued against quite easily. To prove this -
'Do you believe that nothing created everything?' - The concept of a 'designer' has been around forever. The world around us seems so meticulously designed and unlikely to happen through chance. Because of this, the majority of scientists believe in an infinite multiverse. Given an infinite number of chances, there's an infinite number of outcomes. We simply live in one of these infinite possibilities created through sheer chance. By using this logic, you could argue that nothing was ever created, there has always been something and always will be. And to flip this argument around, you could ask, 'what created god?' Has he always existed, and simply lives outside of our laws of physics? It's stupid to argue that one is allowed to transcend our understanding of science while the other isn't. In fact, it's easy to prove how the concept of infinity breaks our understanding of math and science. By using infinity, you could prove many weird things like how .99 repeated infinitely is the same as 1.
tl;dr - We ultimately know very little about god or our own universe, and therefore can't prove that our laws of physics apply to such a large scale.

The title maybe wrong: it's not a debate. The interviewer screams and verbally harasses a man who is not deaf. The interviewer somehow could be frustrated or is hardly trying to convince the man, or he is trying to make something like religious sensational. I have no clue. If something is true or meaningful, needless to scream like that, people know what is true, what is not (maybe most of people don't care about it). Much better to spare energy; people are not cavemen. If someone is interested in something, he/she can do his/her own homework. Instead of screaming at people, tell them to do their homework if they feel inspired: direct or indirect coercion are absolutely not required.
