The fantastic weather was one factor in our moving here. The beautiful people and countryside certainly helped!

Hello again! In Palamarca lived a Portuguese woman who worked in Switzerland on the Great Nuclear Collider (accelerator)! Her name is Suzanne. Does he still live in the village? She was very active in her efforts to revive the village to new life! They even showed it on Bulgarian television! As far as I know, many foreigners live in Palamarca..! Have a good evening!

I will ask my friends in Palamartsa about her, I'm sure they will know. The village population is around 65% Bulgarian and 35% expats from all over Europe.

Lovely weather in Palamartsa. This looked a kind of a boot sale. I'm glad you enjoyed the sale and you've bought the table.

The weather was beautiful and very hot in the sun! It was part boot sale and part homemade produce. They are also trying to organise an evening event to keep the fun going!

It seems to be a lively village and the local residents were very friendly. There are certainly worse places you could chose to holiday!

Nice to see everyone mixing well in Palamartsa, they looked to have got a decent turnout. I like the improvising with the lack of cable clips. Do they not sell them out there ?

It was a good start, hopefully it will grow as time goes on. We enjoyed it and went again last week!
You can get cable clips but the nails on them are too small and thin to hold in the mud brick. Sometimes you just have to go big. 😀

@@ourlittlebulgarianadventure oh right 😂 when we were fitting the house out we couldn’t find curtain wire for the nets. Have you ever seen any out there?

@@paulturner7837 I haven't seen them anywhere but we don't have net curtains so I haven't looked for them. If I see them I'll let you know.

New subscriber! :) Do you guys live in Palamartsa?I am very interested to buy a property there, haven't been there yet, it was nice to see the video. I read somewhere online there was a problem with the water there? Even with a pump people say... please can you give me if thats true? Or anything else about Palamartsa would be helpful

@@cami0076 Welcome to our channel! The more the merrier.
We are around a 50 minute drive from Palamartsa but we know people there and go there quite regularly.
There are issues with the water there and unfortunately this is not the only Bulgarian village that has issues in the summer. Some people have reserved water tanks that fill up when the water is on and keeps them trouble free. The good systems completely removed the problem.
If you haven't already check Bulgarian Property Experts and Yulson homes for properties for sale.
      Good luck!

@@ourlittlebulgarianadventure , thank you! I have actually checked them out! :) So you're saying there is a water problem there and you must have water tanks if you wanna be safe? I travel for my work. If the house is empty 6 months a year is there a chance to be robbed? I was hoping in a populated village like this this wouldn't happen....Thanks for the prompt reply!

@@cami0076 I would advise a backup water system, tank or even a well but that can run low in summer.
There are more expats than Bulgarians in the village so you should have no problem finding someone to keep an eye on things while you're not there. Although you can never rule out the possibility of being robbed, crime is rare and usually opportunistic (stuff that's left laying about goes missing).
Also make friends with the mayor and he will help if anything happens.
