The reality is they had already given Sam the job long before the city draw. They waited for the city game and probably expected a heavy defeat, a good time to sack the coach. The fact they got a result and fought for the manager, just makes the board look even more foolish.

Lets face it WBA played well most of the games and there were very unlucky in many aspects not to get more points, not to mentions some outrageous referring decisions and obvious double standards that went against them that cost them at least a few points. if that did not happen the picture would be completely different. What was encouraging was their performance even against much better clubs were they were very unlucky to lose.. i think it was just a luck of individual quality of their players and not being adapted to the first division football that made a difference. I mean if you invest about 10%-30% of what everyone else does and then sell some of your important players, what do you expect realistically?!

Totally agree we were improving and unlucky in many games, clesrly people dont look at big picture, results might be what big clubs are sll sbout but at teams like West Brom which dont have the money is more about performance, style of play, sacking managers causes uncertainty and confusion, players get used to one manager and style then they go after 5mins isnt helpful. People have wrong expectations at clubs like West Brom better to build and improve and move forward than change just because of results 🙄

At the end of the day football is a business and I hate it.I used to love this game but now i loathe it.
I love my club but football in the top flight is laughable to teams like Albion.
We are a side show in the big league like many other teams. How can you be in the same league as Man City and expect us to deliver results.
It’s all about money and we don’t have it and I am not talking £50 million,I’m talking hundreds of million.
What as the game become?I hate the fact I love my historic club and some Chinese guy who we knows nothing about our club can run things from 7,000 miles away. It’s all about the big clubs. So we may stay up or go down and then come back up and keep sacking managers when you can’t compete,it’s a vicious circle without money.I could say lots more but what is the point.I am just thankful that I watched my team in the eighties when football was brilliant and special.
    F##k present day football.
No loyalty just greed, like everything in modern life.
I really could go on all day but I want to scream.
Thank you to the people in charge of this great sport who have taken something I used to love and ruined it to the point where I don’t get excited either way anymore. But I still love my club.

Its results that count unfortunately and four wins out of 25 games is a recipe for the sack. Personally I would have given Bilic the rest of the season because his mandate when he signed was he had two years to get Albion promoted. He did it in the first season albeit struggling at the end. The Premiership is all about money and the big four teams and the media pander to those teams. The Championship is where real football takes place with proper football clubs bringing their home grown kids through. If Sam keeps us up then fine but if we go down I will be quite happy to be amongst proper teams with proper fans.

Mr Simon Jordan you are so right, owner sees Bilic as disrespectful, when you combine that with the two big investments that you've given £34 ish million towards then both go and FLOP....what are you supposed to do? I like Bilic but his lack of composure meant the players had no composure last season and couldn't win in the championship WHEN IT MATTERED just like this year in the Fulham and Sheff
U games where we got battered (despite a lucky win v Sheff U). His lack of composure also for me incites behaviour such as Gibbs punching and Pereira kicking out.... Bilic himself even has got involved last year AND THIS YEAR physically wrestling the opposition on the sidelines (watch the City game carefully), he gets desperate and let's his big heart rule his head. Much as I've really enjoyed having Bilic, as a long term option I think he's limited. Just like at West Ham it's all wonderful when he's on a run and you join him on the thrilling ride but the rest of the time it's a sulk and while he sulks the players sulk as soon as they're 2-0 down. He deserved better treatment of course and I'll always be grateful for him bringing God to our club from Portugal.
