Teasers are exactly what trailers should be. I don't think there are any other remakes, but Willem Dafoe was in Shadow of the Vampire, which was about the making of the original movie.
100000% agree! I understand the marketing team wants to do all they can to peak people’s interest enough to fork over $20 to get people in the theater seats, but it’s ruining the movie magic for me! And I can always count on you to come in with the facts and pop culture nuggets 😍 I did not know that movie existed but I added it to my watch list for vampires 😂
After The Witch and The Nortman I don’t need a trailer to know that I’ll be first in line to see any Robert Eggers movie. Usually I avoid the movie trailers like plague but teasers don't reveal too much, which I like. To be honest, I didn’t paid attention to the clip you show here, I love that you put it as a small rectangular. I am also huge fan of all the Scarsgard’s family. This will be a big hit I’m sure. 🕯🕯🕯
Thank you for the feedback!! So happy the smaller rectangle worked for you. I was debating how to format my reaction while I watched the trailer. I need to rewatch the Witch. I do remember the atmosphere being 10/10 though!! The ending was a stand-out as well 😍
One of my most anticipated films of the year and I'm so excited to see Bill Skarsgard in this role! It's also really cool that Willem Dafoe is in this, as he was in Shadow of the Vampire back in the early 2000's!!
Haha this type of movie is far more mellow than more traditional horror movies. This is like gothic drama with horror elements, which is so my jam because I don’t love jump scares. Like you said, they do a number on my nervous system haha
I'm so glad you did this reaction bc I wouldn't have sought out the trailer bc like you I usually avoid but this one was great. Agree with you on feeling overjoyed that they didn't show nosferatu!!!! Awesome reaction! 🎉
I would never know about any movies if it weren't for you and Katrina. I also hope that they put some new twist to it....only because we have seen so many adaptations of this story already. Excited to see this one!
You cracked me up when you jumped during the opening. I love it. I know you don't like to watch trailers, but I'd to see more trailer reactions from you. hahaha. I'm excited about this movie.
Aww yay! Thank you for such positive feedback. 1000% doing a trailer reaction again when a highly anticipated one comes out. I will stick with the teasers since I already watch those anyway. I would love to see you do one if you ever feel the interest. You always have such good movie knowledge! Maybe it’s alongside one of your horror props 😂
I love that you did a reaction video! I am looking forward to seeing this but I'm not sure if I'll see it in theaters or wait for it to be streaming. I am excited to see what the new incarnation of Nosferatu will look and act like. I'm all for a new interpretation but I hope we get little easter eggs and homages to the OG, like not having Nosferatu blink.
I LIVE for Easter eggs in movies!! I read Dracula right before I saw Last Voyage of Demeter in theaters and there were so many. I had fun unloading all of them on him unsolicited 😂
I didn’t even know this was being made! I wasn’t expecting it to be so creepy but I was sitting in a dark room so it got me lol I’m definitely looking forward to seeing this in theaters! Some remakes though I do feel like they’re beating a dead horse and I’m just like.. ANOTHER ONE?!
Yay! I’m so glad you’re into this one as well and that I helped put it on your radar!! It’s the gothic setting that got me hooked 😍 Let’s just hope the plot hits too.
Ahh!! I'm so excited for this one! I love Robert Eggers's films so much! This film looks excellent! I love the capturing of the almost mind-breaking insanity of Nosferatu 😂 how fun!
So fun 😂😂 Between this and Beetlejuice, I’m so happy I have theatrically released movies to look forward to this year that fit my kitchy and gothic visual aesthetic 😍
Vampire queeen Ooo the aesthetic for this movie 🙌🙌🙌. Perfect for winter. Girl I thought that was Rachel Zegler LOL Your reaction at the end of the trailer!! You look excited! Yess I am glad they kept the mystery alive with this one 🙏 I think a remake of classic can be a good thing esp since we are constantly evolving technology wise expanding on what we can do visually with a movie. However, I am very tired of seeing Cinderella remakes 😡
That’s such a good point, Brooklin. Sometimes it’s actually super cool to see the story done on screen as big and bold as it can be with all the technological bells and whistles. Oh I can totally see how that would be frustrating as I know you’re a fairytale retelling connesuier (literally no clue if I spelled that right but hopefully you get what I mean haha). Has there really been that many remakes?? I just know the Disney one and the one staring Brandy off the top of my head.
@@happyhauntslibrary Yes, he did. The VVitch is one of my favorite movies. He also directed The Lighthouse, too, which I love. Fingers crossed that he doesn't let us down with Nosferatu!
@@happyhauntslibrary I’ve seen rumors that Lowe’s has a Nosferatu animatronic this year… I don’t know if I believe it fully until I see it. But if so, he’s def on my wishlist!!
I always love going on solo dates to the theater, sometimes at the same time as my Fiance is there too but seeing another movie. We time it just right. 😂 Just something to consider!
@@happyhauntslibrary We've mentioned doing that, but it is so hard for us to get to a movie at all that we've just decided to only go if we both super want to see something.
Sooo true about trailers. Nothing worse than watching a trailer and the clips you get aren't even in the final cut of the movie too 1:42 lmao 😂😂😂 What a fire cast?? Oh boy another Bill Skarsgard character for me to seek therapy about finding attractive
Hard agree that trailers are ruining too many of the surprises that makes seeing films in the theatres so much fun.🎥 But I thought this one was really good at giving atmosphere while obscuring a lot of plot details. 🍿When they first announced the film, Anya Taylor-Joy was attached and I was stoked for that casting. Definitely less excited for this cast, although Emma Corrin was excellent in The Crown so I am really interested in their performance.🦇 For me, I think this is probably a wait for streaming🧛♂
The cast change reminds me of how Ryan Gosling was originally cast for the Wolfman remake coming out this January. They have a far lesser known actor in his place. Gosh, even just bringing up that movie reminds me just how much Hollywood LOVES remaking films these days 😂😂
I am on the fence about this movie. On the one hand, I love all of that gothic atmosphere. On the other hand, I am tired if Hollywood remaking classics. I love the silent Nosferatu and the 70's adaptation. We did not need another Nosferatu film. I will keep an open mind though and see it.
The story, Nosferatu, is set in the year 1838.
I watched The Witch [2015] by Robert Eggers, it was a psychological horror masterpiece.
The cast is phenomenal! I can’t wait!
Eeeeeee same!! 👻👻
you hit the nail on the head about the choice between showing/not showing the movie's villain in the trailer!
Yessss! So happy you agree. I love me some mystery 👻

I loved him in Shadow of the Vampire. Such an underrated movie!
Added Shadow of the Vampire to my watch list!! What a coincidence that Willem Defoe is in both films… or was that intentional.. 👀
Omg that first jump scare, I'm already terrified LOL my nervous system could never 🤣🤣
The vibes of this movie are so good!!

I’m realizing so many people hate the way trailers are cut. I don’t know why they keep doing what they’re doing!!

Casting Simon McBurney as the "not Renfield" character is a great choice.
@@mrfrosty3 Haha I love the “not” 😂. Those OG Nosferatu filmakers were reaaaalllyyy trying to pull a fast one on viewers, huh? 😂
Seems cool! I love the original movie. Willem was great as Max in Shadow of the Vampire. I love Eggar’s movie The Witch. Great reaction! 🦇🦇🦇🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥👍🏻
I just learned about this movie from another comment on this video. I think I absolutely need to watch that one before Nosferstu comes out!
