Julien Alfred proved everyone wrong, she may not have been the favourite to win it before the Olympics, but she showed everybody how incredibly talented she is when Olympics arrived. She has a brillant future ahead if she keeps this up. Hope she medals 🏅 in the 200m as well💯
with respect, I'm not sure why this was an upset, surprise, shock... last year at the University of Texas, Juju won the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay beating Sha’Carri Richardson’s 2019 record of 10.75 with a 10.72 in that meet - same story in the 200m beating Abby Steiner’s NCAA record of 21.80 with a 21.73 - the 100m was her second straight NCAA title at that distance, and she also recorded the NCAA record in the 60m indoors... while she only took 5th at last year's Worlds, 0.28 slower than Sha'Carri, it may have been after a tiring college season, so this year with no college commitments and a full year to further mature, why is anyone surprised?
