It was so nice to hear that the owner wasn’t getting vilified by you guys. Sometimes people have the best intentions and end up with more issues than they can handle, but they often don’t know where to find help. His neighbors being so hostile and destroying your rescue efforts didn’t do him any favors. I’m glad he got the help he needed, and that the rabbits are now safe, well fed, dry, and indoors.

Food for thought, in case you encounter a situation like this again; if you're trying to catch free roaming rabbits, bring a few biggish empty boxes with you. Tape them up well, cut a bunny size hole in one side, and place them in the areas you're chasing them. If they see the security of a hide or 'burrow', they might dive in for cover, especially if you can herd them in that direction. Congrats on the rescue, and best of luck.

I don’t understand why people don’t do their research before purchasing an animal. These poor babies didn’t deserve to be left out like garbage because of uneducated and irresponsible humans. Absolute shame. Thank you for giving them a chance to live a good life ❤

Seems the owner got in over his head, glad you’ve been so persistent to help despite getting backlash from the neighbors! Weird that the owner is okay with you removing them but everyone else is angry about it
France requires microchips for pets and owners are fined SIGNIFICANTLY FOR ABANDONMENT. Or the parents receive their child home safely
France donest even have a stray HEDGE HOG, because each animals life is valued individually

I love that you all were so compassionate toward the owner. It can certainly be difficult to empathize when there are animals being harmed in the situation, but the whole "attract more flies with honey than vinegar" idea really helps break through so that ultimately the animals get help. Much love!

(I haven't watched the whole video yet) I don't think you understand how mad it makes me when these like 10 people are trying to stop you from rescuing these rabbits!! RESCUE! Not steal, not to hurt, not to make food with. To literally save their life!!
The owner is like watching those poor rabbits just wondering the streets, no water, no proper food no proper care is just so sad to me.

But even if you're clueless about rabbit care jts pretty common sense to not let them run around and breed constantly, not knowing about how to care for them isnt an excuse to treat them like this. There needs to be consequences for people like this.
it sounded like the owner spoke very little english. its not uncommon outside of america for people to just drop off animals elsewhere.

It baffles me that people let animals loose like this or don't know what kind of care to give them while having so many, it just shows how important creators are for spreading awareness and sharing information on care
I personally think it's Vinny and Sonia because he talks about Vinny and Sonya like they were like his favorite and he like love them I mean he did talk nice but he didn't talk like he loved the other bunnies like he did to Vinny and Sonia.
From one neighborhood rescuer to another, thank you. It's not easy, but it's definitely a labor of love. And it's definitely better when the neighborhood supports this type of selfless love.

That’s wonderful news!!! I work in an animal shelter and am always impressed with the bunnies. They are such social creatures so I find stray bunnies tend to do well once they’re shown kindness. Thank you for caring for them.

Seeing those bunnies happy and safe in your home just brought tears to my eyes. When I think of what they had to live through in order to survive, it just breaks my heart. I think you are an absolutely amazing person to go the distance to rescue these helpless bunnies. Seven little beings are here today, alive and safe because of you. If I were to make a guess, I think you might be keeping Vinny and LouAnne. Whoever gets a permanent place in your home is going to be one lucky bunny!

Try finding a dump rabbit in front of your house! That’s how I ended up with my rabbit. He’s full white besides the ear tips and around the eyes and he loves to cuddle. So glad you were able to rescue them! ❤
I have 3 boys and 1 girl, the girl is yet to be bonded but the 3 boys are bonded, so boys with boys definitely do work, the 2 bunnies you do keep will not know what’s hit them with the amazing care and all the love they are going to receive 24/7, they are all very lucky to have you as their rescuer ❤
I know you will probably not see this but I really need your help I got 2 Guinea Pigs who are living in a really bad condition and in a tiny cage so I rescued them but don’t have money or good supplies for them. I would love if you could do anything to help me.

As someone with 2 male rabbits its definitely possible! My two boy adore each other and never scuffle. They came to my rescue separate but they got bonded and now my personal pets.

I think the people living there are upset cus they are a free meal to them sadly..thankyou for caring and rescuing them..but i fear there will be more :(
We browsed all around the property to see if we could locate any babies and were unable to find any. The owner did say that there are tons of cars and hawks around so it’s possible they were killed by them 😣

I used to find free roaming rabbits in my neighborhood and it was this recurring problem so i thought cause it was an open field people were just dumping them there as a popular spot. One day i followed one for like half a mile and then found a guy who owned the rabbits. He had free range rabbits, at least twenty adults. I found their nests of babies on occasion and it was just such a problem for years even after animal control stepped in and the initial rabbits were contained. This gave me such flashbacks to that and I'm so happy you got them out of that situation.
Why are all of the neighbors being so weird about you guys saving these bunnies? Good job!
Oh my gosh seeing you capture those white rabbits with black made me cry.. they look like my poor baby! I could never imagine anyone doing this! Thank you for going out of your way to help these poor souls. To add to what you said about guessing which rabbit you're keeping is definitely Vinny and the black bunny you're holding 😢😂

Thank you so much for saving these guys! It really breaks my heart how often rabbits are neglected and abused. They're such intelligent animals with SO much personality, and I wish more people could see and understand that. Seeing them come out of their shells once they know they're in a safe place is just the most rewarding thing in the world.
Also, I know you said the two unfixed rabbits weren't showing interest in each other, so I apologise for bringing this up - but they can and do breed between the bars of cages and it takes seconds 😅
Okay I am happy you finally did the right thing and got the authorities involved, thus getting permission from the owner to surrender the animals. I didnt like hearing you lie on the phone to animal control. The truth is always the best policy but at least you called them. That was the right thing to do.

You’re amazing! It’s so nice to see bunnies rescued. I found 2 boys outside my house dumped. I took them in and they were fine. A few years later after they passed I adopted more bunnies, I had 2 boys and a girl and they lived happy together. I then adopted another 2 boys from a lady who didn’t want them as they became sexually mature and started to spray and she didn’t want to pay to have them done. I took them to the vet, got them all up to date with everything and they live happily together in a different room to the other 3. Rabbits are beautiful loving animals and you’re good for sharing how they should be loved and looked after ❤
I found a baby lionhead rabbit. I.named him Parker. I found him in a parking lot of a store in a box. He reminds me of a puppy. He demands pets and he licks. He's so cute.

I so glad you managed to get them all. I was incredibly worried about them. I know very little about rabbits, but I fell in love with the little thief I had in my garden a few years ago, and now I want to protect them all, so I'm commenting to drive engagement and hopefully help you help them, even if it's only a tiny little bit lol. For context, the little thief was a pet rabbit that had somehow gotten away and found it's way to my pepper plants. He came right up to me and let me pick him up when I got near him, so I brought him in the house. Thankfully I already knew who to call, because I'd found a missing flyer about him in my mail box, so I called the number and his mom came to get him :)

its wiiild the owner was feeding them dog food but i also kind of laughed at that bc my bunnies are dog food FIENDS 😂any chance they get they sprint out of the room and go straight for the dog food like they haven't eaten in YEARS 😅 damn near gotta fight them off with a broom to get them away its wild and def didn't expect them to go so hard for dog food. I gotta remind them daily that they're VEGAN 🤣

My favorite is Vinny (I try not to pick favorites, but Vinny is just so sweet!) I hope you end up keeping him, so I can see him and Milo bond together! You’re making me so jealous, but I am not in the right condition to take in rabbits. I have two Guinea pigs already, and as a student, I already have to find time get my schoolwork done.😅

I have had bonded male bunnies. I also have had bonded female bunnies. I totally agree with you... not just possible but very possible to bond same sex bunnies (as long as spayed or neutered). I also have had a bonded trio (2 females and 1 male) so that is totally possible too. I had tried a bunch of different things before I got my trio bonded so if you need any thought partnership on that I am happy to help.
Thank you for saving these bunnies. We have one that was shaken at his previous home. He’s figuring out that the one who feeds him (me!)is a good friend.

this is one of the most harrowing rescues i've watched lol. thank you and ava (sp?) for your hard work rescuing these rabbits! i'm sure now that they are in your care they will find great homes.
All I'd say is ve careful about EC with Guinea pigs. We rescued a few rabbits and one had EC and it's very contagious through rabbit pee mostly but can spread to other animals. Didn't realize how serious EC was until then!

Hi rabbit rescuer here I have some advice for if this happens again. I’m semi familiar to your channel and believe you do have a bun so I won’t give you bunch on that plus I’ve seen some of your Guinea pig care so not worried
Rabbits are most active at dawn and dusk go then
Use xpens to corral them or keep them out of places you don’t want like alleys.
Roads and said walks are fair game it’s public property- aka government property. Some people will allow you to go ask first I like to record them so I can show I got a verbal confirmation
For harder to catch leaving a trap works well like one for raccoons/ cats. Put a blanket and fun treats in it.
Use special food to get them to trust you for a larger colony that takes multiple days leave food and water out and they will stick to that area( less foot traffic the better.
Pull traps work well too, I have a homemade one with a dog kennel and a string, put food inside and once they are in pull!
Also rabbit rescue will always give you advice
Don’t run or chase, after learning body language you can tell when they want to bolt don’t move for a bit till they relax.
Go on there level lay on the ground and if it’s not a rush just relax let them know your not a threat
I wouldn’t worry about giving to much treats when catching once they are safe that’s when I monitor and don’t give as much.
People are incredibly rude sometimes when catching don’t bother with them, if they threaten you call the non emergency line for help/ backup. I was threatened by guns many times with the Fort Lauderdale colony In Florida. People would even Chase the buns and record. Some people hit the rabbit when we were there and we couldn’t do anything. Learn your local laws and if the police tell you something listen don’t fight, you can always try another day, some are willing to help
I probably have more but it’s late and I can’t think of more. if you need help finding homes contact a local rabbit rescue (house rabbit society on facebook can help find your local rescue ) and ask if they can help find homes. Most are willing to pay the cost of fixing and food ect as long as you can foster and help. even if they can just do a post saying your looking for homes.

they can sense your heart bunnys are like that once you have them with u they will quickly realize ur true heart to them like my first bun as a kid we were brats but we loved them but we should have been supervized we litteraly played "bunny hocky" where we would slide our bun across the hardwood to eachotyher now KIDS remember as we got older we didnt do that but that bun calmly let us do anything and then would groom us and sleep with us she knew we were just idiot kids but we loved her. as a adult i feel horrid but i also know we should have been watched

I think definitely vinnie should stay as he will definitely be looked over and will probably be hard to find a new home and the black one she looked very sweet and friendly and also full black ones also get over looked and struggle to find homes
