There is a cabsim in the SansAmp too. Since the beginning they have done that.

For live shows, I use a SansAmp BDDI v2 to the FOH, always sounds great and super solid. After all the years it’s been available and all the other options that have since sprung up, it’s still a hard to beat sound and has become a trusted industry stalwarts….like an SM58.

I agree. It's an incredibly versatile pedal.

I wholeheartedly agree the SV’s DI is voiced too dark to send through speakers. I put the SV before the sansamp (using the amp output) and that works great. Sansamp blend at 12 o’clock 😉. Sounds great through IEM and FOH.

I just did a gig with my SV and yes it can be very bass heavy- I just cut bass cranked the mids and it was beautiful!

BDDI sounds better. Most likely due to the OE SV cab sim. Don’t know why they don’t allow you to disable it on the xlr out. Would be interested to hear through the 1/4 out and compare.

BassRig is nice, but Sansamp has something more to it

What are you using for a monitor speaker do you like it?

@@JeepingNet do you mean when I'm playing live or what monitors I have hooked up to the computer?

@@chrisrourkebass the speaker in the video I assume that is what the audio we are hearing is coming out of? Do you use that setup for home practise? does it work ok for you?
I'm looking for a simple home practise setup and heading that you can just skip the amp and go directly into a studio monitor or power PA.

@JeepingNet when the bass is playing in this video I added the recorded audio and muted the camera microphone. So you're not actually hearing the monitors in this video.
The monitors I use are Behringer Truth B2030A which I've had since about 2010. I don't have an opinion on whether these are good or not but they are fine for me.

@JeepingNet in terms of home practice the speaker monitors work great. I can also use headphones if I want to practice silently.

Sansamp cheaper and more reliable, the V2 has way more options to shape your tone and it sounds better than this original effects boutique ahit
