I was a little nervous about the new setup and the new location messing with the vibe of the cast. Then, within the first minute, I heard Matt talk about how part of a movers job should be cuddling and making people feel better about the move. And it was in that moment, I knew the cast was gonna be alright.
Favorite part of all the pods is MATT LAUGHING. Shane holds it together a lot better. Yet sometimes just the sound of laughter, or knowing they're laughing so hard makes me laugh.

However I really did like Dubuque, really cool old city and compared to anywhere back west it was amazing. Madison is by far my favorite city I have been to and I usually am not a fan of metro areas.

At around 22 minutes when they talk about haunted houses and how older houses are scarier, I actually just watched a video about how it’s due to resonate frequencies. Older houses have settled and shifted with age and when AC units, large vehicles or certain electronics kick on it resonates a frequency through the loose boards and shit in the house that cause paranoia in humans. This is because it produces a sound vibration too low to hear and our instincts associate that with earthquakes, tiger roars, alligators etc. For all of human history pre-industrialization low frequency sounds meant danger, but now tons of modern things make low frequencies and our brain freaks out about it. Just thought it was interesting and kind of relevant.
I think about the biological effects of noise pollution all the time. The body is designed to be in quiet environments most of the time. And yet we are rarely in quiet environments.
We really need Dan Carlin on. If you know you know. Plus he’s got a great sense of humor and Shane’s love of history would just make a great conversation.

At around 22 minutes when they talk about haunted houses and how older houses are scarier, I actually just watched a video about how it’s due to resonate frequencies. Older houses have settled and shifted with age and when AC units, large vehicles or certain electronics kick on it resonates a frequency through the loose boards and shit in the house that cause paranoia in humans. This is because it produces a sound vibration too low to hear and our instincts associate that with earthquakes, tiger roars, alligators etc. For all of human history pre-industrialization low frequency sounds meant danger, but now tons of modern things make low frequencies and our brain freaks out about it. Just thought it was interesting and kind of relevant.
I think about the biological effects of noise pollution all the time. The body is designed to be in quiet environments most of the time. And yet we are rarely in quiet environments.
