Alias subd itself is a class A surface with g3 continuity.. In addition, Alias Subd Retopo command is an excellent reverse engineering tool that lets us create stunning Class A surfaces quickly and easily from any scan data and low poly model. I have used this technique to make this model in few hours. If you're unsure whether alias subd is Class A or not, it's best to reach out to Autodesk for clarification. They have a wealth of resources and can provide you with the information you need. As for my experience, I have designed numerous casting and plastic products that have been successfully manufactured without encountering any issues.

@@The-class-A-surface_guy its not question :) If you can do it in sabdi as cleanly as with regular surfaces, then yes, it’s better to do sabdi. Subdi is very difficult to create a smooth, clean surface with complete control without damaging the entire part (more points more deformations). When the model is built in patches, the overall shape does not suffer as much as it suffers when the Sub-d is deformed. In addition, Porsche 918 spider, the bumper at the bottom made in sabd will never be the same as the one made with patches. Because the topology is different. For the same reason, Sabdi is not always good at automotive engineering. It can be used for simpler things. The fact that Alias shows it in his videos does not mean that now everything will be done in subdi. This is just another option (but not always effective).
